I don't typically write CD reviews here, but after reading the only other review for this CD I couldn't resist. I stumbled across this disc in a local library and loved it, and then began my search to purchase it (as far as I know it has been OOP for years). It often sells for as much as $30-$40 on E-Bay, but I was lucky enough to find one here at Amazon.com used for $599 (yea!!!)Anyway, regardless of Joe Jackson's pop music output, this is by no means pop music. It is not "easy" music. If I had to categorize it, I would call it 20th-Century "classical" music, with minimalistic influences. If you're looking for neo-classical drivel, go away. If you want thought provoking, deep, and moving music, check this CD!
The previous review is only relevant if you're not willing to put forth the effort required to digest and understand the intense beauty of this wonderful CD.
