Don't know, nor do I care what others say here because opinions are entirely subjective, mine included. One word should suffice when it comes to this musician: virtuoso. Consider the definition: "a musician who shows exceptional ability, technique, or artistry." That said, you'd get your money's worth out of this album with one song: "Revelation". All the crappy, pimply, neo-rock vampire adjectives aside, this man is as good on the guitar as McCartney is on the bass, and that's saying something. If you don't buy the CD (which would be a shame), at least buy the single. You'll wear out your Ipod listening.Free Music Review: Totally Magic

This is another incredible release from Joe. The feel of his music is mostly not the same as it was 20 years ago, but it still has the magic that raises your spirit and engages you. I have zero musical ability, so the technical aspects of his playing are beyond me; what I love about his music is that there's so much there if you just pay attention. Subtle details of sounds that make it real. It's possibly easier for me to enjoy the magic because I have no musical knowledge to analyze it with - I'm free to just enjoy it. There are a lot of fast and flash guitarest but Joe is so much more than that. His music is intelligent and soulful. His music grows the more you listen to it. I keep bumbing the volume up....you just can't help it!
This is the Joe I fell in love with! I love this disk. The man has a way of doing a spinal tap on me musically and this one hits the bone! After "Super Colossal" I was a bit worried that Joe had turned a corner but this one is true to his old form but still so very fresh. He can do that like no other. What else can I say....It's JOE!

I enjoy listening to Joe. Some of his albums take a little getting used to, but this is not one of them. I listened to the previews on his website, and was determined to get it.
This album reminds me more of the old Joe, not the Joe that dabbled in Techno. I have nothing against Techno, but that just doesn't seem to fit with Joe and his music.
Anyway, I recommend this album to Joe lovers, and everyone else.

The run of notes and melodies played with such depth is truly amazing on this work from Mr. Joe Satriani. I can only begin to imagine what lies ahead in Mr. Satriani's composing.
There is groove, there is heart, and there is thought on this masterpiece of virtuoso rock guitar CD. Mr. Satriani's catalog has very exceptional work. But this one is truly super impressive. Wow!
