Free Music Notes for Switched-On BachFree Music Review: Viva Walter/Wendy Hit: 5 Stars
I have just ordered this item so I can't comment on its production value however I purchased the original LP in SQ Quadriphonic and it sounded great;still does -I transferred it to CD some time ago; but I wanted a 'professional' copy. I hope this 'enhanced' version lives up to its QUAD predecessor.

Free Music Review: Benjamin Folkman actually PLAYED it, Carlos hogs the credit. Hit: 5 Stars
"I was just kid when it came out..." I had this on cassette and loved it, was the first time I was EXCITED about classical music. The (by now) "vintage" Moog synthesizer has a wonderful sound, pleasing to the ears. Walter/Wendy Carlos hogs all the credit, but Benjamin Folkman actually did the PLAYING and is unfairly overlooked.
Free Music Review: S-OB is the best Hit: 5 Stars
Still have my copy on vinyl, but with turntables becoming more of a pain to play, I hadn't set it up in 20 years. The CD is absolutely perfect, the sounds are crisp, and you can hear every note. 100% great to hear S-OB again.
I bought the CD because this is not available on iTunes. Very good choice!
Free Music Review: Timeless Bach Hit: 5 Stars
One of the classic recordings of the 60s, Switched-On Bach proves that, not only is Bach's music timeless, so is this treatment of his music. Today's technology may be much more advanced, but you will not find a sound as fresh and exciting as Wendy Carlos' pioneer work anywhere else.
Free Music Review: Best Classical Music ever ! Hit: 5 Stars
I have this on vinyl, and it was produced by Walter Carlos, before he became Wendy Carlos.
Very crisp, very clear. Meant to be played loud ! The digital version is better than the original analog/vinyl. The extra track in which Wendy explains the recording process is a great bonus.
