Free Music Notes for Switched-On BachFree Music Review: Switched-On Bach Hit: 5 Stars
Bach had a genius for polyphonic art as expressed in music. Hear his gift performed on the moog...the early synthesizer of the 60s...done tastefully and skillfully by Wendy Carlos. An eye opener in its time, yet still in demand some 40 years later. Why is that? Yes, questions...
Free Music Review: Excellent Hit: 5 Stars
This was purchased as a Christmas present for my Mom, who has an old vinyl of this album. She absolutely loved the cd (because now she can listen to it in the car). If you owned this album on record and you're nostalgic at all, the cd is an awesome purchase.
Free Music Review: The Granddaddy of all Electronic Music Hit: 5 Stars
This is where it all began: Wendy Carlos, Bach, and the Moog Synthesizer.
Includes a bonus track narrated by Wendy. From here, Carlos went on to do the soundtrack for "A Clockwork Orange" and other works. Sheer genius!
Free Music Review: Love the remake Hit: 5 Stars
I purchased this record when it was first released and played it so many times it was scratched so badly I had not played it in years. Now it's like finding a new recording of something new. I love it all over again!
Free Music Review: Like the others, it started with this LP Hit: 5 Stars
Back in the days of LPs, this was what started me on electronic music (moog). I'd go so far as to call this the grand daddy of all electronica. From Bach to Euphoria... what a trip.
