My wife and I are fans of the John Adams series and many HBO films productions. The soundtrack is well done and there is no doubt a lot of time went into crafting appropriate tracks.
It is important to keep in mind that a lot of the tracks are about tragic events and the composer does a great job of mirroring this sentiment. So, if you're looking for something light and airy, look elsewhere.
