Free Music Notes for The Lion In Winter [Soundtrack] AlbumFree Music Review: Lion in Winter Roars Hit: 5 Stars
If you enjoyed the film, then you'll likely enjoy the music on this album. The thunderous opening track is still my favourite and is, in my opinion, the strongest reason as to why John Barry won best score in 1968. Still, the rest of the music is perfect for the environment of the dark ages and moves along so quickly, I keep forgetting that the album is finished. I would say the album's short, but it contains virtually all the key musical scenes from the film, so I would say that the only possible detractor is that the music is not in chronological order of the film, but the presentation on album flows nicely. Highly recommended, but watch the film first to make sure you want to buy this.
