I haven't seen the show, but I'm addicted to its music. It's a genre-hopping musical kaleidoscope with every song a distinct highlight. The Long Grift is an exquisite melody, and Midnight Radio captures the essence of Ziggy Stardust/Dr. Frankenfurter chic. In many ways, this ranks up there with The Who's Tommy concept album and Pink Floyd's The Wall in terms of sheer emotional bombast. What a marvelous CD-- in one cut Plato's Symposium is the song lyric subject!! The show is still at the Jane Street Theater so catch it if you can after you hear the disk. i am a 43 year old woman who is addicted to the hedwig c.d. and loving the addiction! my kids find me rockin and swaying on and off every day! i saw the show in boston with kevin cahoon as hedwig and fell in love with his performance! my brother took me to the show and then gave me the c.d.! I have seen the show a few times, and have been to RHPS (Rocky Horror) 81x and this is the best. It's fun, it truely rocks out, and the tunes are hooky, catchy and make you feel and think. I got a chance to see this rock musical live in Austin, TX and the performance was totally awesome. I got goosebumps and I even cried.I had to have the CD and I still love the music and especially the really thoughtprovoking lyrics. A very unusual story with an eclectic mix of songs. It's really all about tolerance and we could use a lot more of that in our world.
