Free Music Review: I Listen To This Album Again & Again

I know that some of the reviews for this album have not been kind. But I have to say that this album fits John extremely well. The nature of the songs (no pun intended) are a good fit for John Denver. I think that most of the tracks included are very strong performances. Some of the tracks are to me forgettable, such as Rita Ballou, No One, Dance Little Jean, Mr. Bojangles. Rusty Green is ok, I usually skip this track so that I can play my favorites over and over. On The Wings Of An Eagle, River, Four Strong Winds, High Wind Blowin', It's A Sin To Tell A Lie (a favorite of John's mom), Nobody Can Take My Dreams From Me, these songs are VERY John. The Game Is Over is an early recording of his, that alone makes it unique.
Remember that this is a compilation CD, not an actual studio album.
