Free Music Notes for John Denver's Greatest HitsFree Music Review: Poems Prayers and Promises Hit: 5 StarsJohn Denver's Poems Prayers and Promises recap his era in a waonderful way. Yesterday My 23 year old grandaughter told me that she had fallen in love with this song. (She didn't hear it here.) She's usually into progressive rock and rap. Listen to the words. They may stir something in you too.

Free Music Review: John Denver at his best. Hit: 5 StarsI love John Denver's style of singing and the songs he sung so well. I admit that I am a fan and regret that he isn't amongst us today.
Free Music Review: Great Hits by a Great Artist Hit: 5 StarsThis CD is vintage John Denver. He had a great voice and recorded some memorable songs. I had an LP of this but switched over to CD to update my library -- plus save space. I was disappointed to find that Denver's song "Lady," on the LP, is not on the CD. How sad. That song was, to me, one of Denver's "greatest hits," also. Nevertheless, this is a great CD by a great artist.
Free Music Review: John Denver's Greatest Hits Hit: 5 StarsThis was a gift to my husband and it continues to bring back memories as we listen to it.
Free Music Review: Not sure about this remaster Hit: 3 StarsThis is not a horrible remaster, but the original recording on CD has a much "Higher" pitched tone to the music, which I prefer. This remaster sounds like the sound is more "Muffled" and not as high pitched or "trebly." The big kick one hears from the guitar, like the opening string on Rocky Mountain High, is now gone, just listen to the original verses the remaster to get an idea of how this remaster is not like the original CD. Some people might like it better this way, I personally do not. I think a compromise could have been had by those who remastered this CD, instead they went for taking all of the "Treble" and "Kick" out of the original, and to me that ruined it.
