Free Music Notes for Deja Vu All Over Again
Free Music Review: It's great to see that somebody is still making music.
Hit: 5 Stars
People who only know Fogerty from his CCR hits and his Centerfield album should buy this album. Fogerty's second best album and by far the best of the year. Fogerty is able to go from folk rock to punk to country with ease. All of the tracks on here are great.
Deja Vu (All Over Again)- 10/10 This song could very well compete with any of the best CCR songs and is written in the same vein as Who'll Stop The Rain. A great, great song.
Sugar Sugar (In My Life)- 8/10 I know that most of the people on here ranked it as one of the best on the album, but I found it a little boring, due to Fogerty trying to get a modern sound. It has a great guitar solo, though.
She's Got Baggage- 10/10 A great try at a punk sound and, believe it or not, it works.
Radar- 9/10 This song, in my opinion, isn't as memorable as most the others on the album, but it is a wonderful song. The keyboard part is what puts it below par.
Honey Do- 10/10 A great country song with humourous lyrics and very memorable music. Musically, it is reminiscent of Lookin' Out My Back Door.
Nobody's Here Anymore- 10/10 My favorite song on the album. This is a great song with lyrics that the world needs to hear badly. The great Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits plays the guitar part along with Fogerty.
I Will Walk With You- 10/10 Although this country song has gorgeous lyrics and a wonderful vocal, what really attracted me to the song was the dobro solo. God, that's catchy.
Rhubarb Pie- 10/10 A little bit of a hybrid between 1940s country and 1950s rock and roll, this song sounds like it came right out the Elvis Presley songbook. A great song to listen to while relaxing.
Wicked Old Witch- 10/10 A very good song which sounds as if it came off a classic CCR album. Everything about the song is wonderful. If CCR reformed in 2004, they would record this.
In The Garden- 10/10 One of my favorite songs on the album. A wonderful guitar and drum part and great, passionate singing.
If you are a fan of Fogerty, CCR, or classic rock in general, you will love this album. If you are a fan of Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears, and Clay Aiken, buy this album to find out what music is.
