Free Music Notes for Long Road Home: Ult Fogerty Creedence CollectionFree Music Review: Yeah it's great Hit: 5 Stars
This is a great collection, no argument.
Missing however, as also missing on the DVD, are some CCR hits that were not written by Fogerty, such as Suzie-Q and Midnight Special, and a few others ... presumably so he could put 'written by John Fogerty' on all the material.
This is too bad, but it is still a great collection and the DVD is fun but the live concert I saw in Victoria, BC was even better, and the audience more enthusiastic than the deadbeats in some LA bar !
Free Music Review: Fortunate Son--twice! Hit: 5 Stars
I've been on the look-out for just the right CCR compilation CD for a couple years. My criteria basically were that it had to have original versions of Born on the Bayou and Fortunate Son. This one not only has these, but just about all the other classic CCR cuts, PLUS a live version of Fortunate Son that I had never heard before and that simply ROCKS!
Money well-spent--and I don't spend a lot on CD's--so that says a lot...

Free Music Review: Excellent! Hit: 5 Stars
Too often these days, a CD is billed as being the ultimate this, or the must-have that, and is priced that way, too. These are often disappointing because they just are too expensive for what you get. I got this CD for $17 and there are 25 great songs on it. Some live stuff, too. You get songs from throughout Mr. Fogerty's career, and enough of them to really get a good deep feel for the quality of his songwriting. This one is worth the money.
Free Music Review: Bought it the second I saw it Hit: 5 Stars
I bought this album the second I saw it. It has all the songs I love and if you love Mr. Fogerty's music, and especially his loving energy, it all comes across in this album. Fogergty's music has been redone by some many other artists for one reason only- this man and his music is 100% soul. If you're down and out, listen to Fogerty. I deeply feel that this man uses music as a tool to heal people. May you receive the Fogerty blessing.
Free Music Review: He rarely disappoints! Hit: 5 Stars
A John Fogerty/Creedence compilation is a safe bet at any price. The Man Who Gargles With Gravel always delivers on the goods. Tight, no-frills songs that sound as good today as they did the day they were written. Even the live versions of the oldies sound fresh. This CD should be given to all the so-called boy bands and faces who pretend to be musicians to teach them a lesson in taste. Did I mention that it really rocks?
