I bought this for my husband, who is a big CCR fan. I knew he would like it, but he loves it. He immediately downloaded the entire collection onto the computer, then onto his I Pod. We also got the DVD and it really is great. I must say that I was only a luke-warm fan of CCR, but the CD and DVD really impressed me with it's energy. I've always been an admirer of John Fogerty's. I think he has a great voice, an extremely dynamic presence and a great understanding of roots rock. His inspiration comes from that great matrix that sprung blues in its many forms, jazz, soul and rock. I recomend this as a great intoduction to John's first and legendary band and to his subsequent stellar solo continuation.Free Music Review: GREAT BUY

This album has great chunk of good Fogerty recordings with his signature burning guitar work and is overall a solid set of CCR releases WITH some tracks from John's solo career. Yes there are other good songs but if you want those just buy up the CCR greatest hits, their studio and live albums. Either way you can't go wrong with this.Free Music Review: lots to love

I have always been a big Creedence/John Fogerty fan. The Long Road Home has all my favorites and then some. It is the best collection for John Fogerty I have. I love to play it when I am working in the shop. The songs keep the crew working and in a good mood (and me in a great mood as for once my music is on!) Highly recommend.
