Free Music Review: ALL KILLER NO FILLER
Hit: 5 Stars

What struck me about "Revival" is how effortless it sounds...like a "Natural Thing" , one of the song titles. Before hearing the songs, I feared "Creedence Song" and "Summer of Love" would be contrived attempts at creating some boomer nostalgia. I was wrong...both tunes rock with real authority and some killer hooks, not just recreating CCR. John's rock and roll voice has aged remarkably well, something rare among his sixty-something musical peers still making music. In fact, what strikes me most about this album after many listens (I couldn't stop listening to it in the car ), is that every tune, and performance is strong. Every CCR album had filler...not "Revival". This album shows an vital artist at the peak of his powers, not lamely trying to recreate past glories, as the title may imply.

Free Music Review: John Fogerty - Revival

When ever I purchase a John Fogerty Cd Or DVD ( DVD Long Road Home ) I am always sure of one thing , I am going to get my money's worth , and purchasing his latest release ( Revival ) was no exception .With most artist you expect to get one or two good tunes per cd , but with this CD Revival , from the first song _ Don't You Wish It was True , to the last song - Longshot there are none you will want to skip over , the man's grasps of today's problems ,and his ability to portray them in his songs ,a perfect example is the song - Gunslinger "powerful Message" , then he let's you take a step back in time with the psychedelic sound of the sixties - Summer Of Love . Just a great Cd from , I think The greatest Song writer , artist of our day .A must have for Fogerty fans , and as always his products are very affordable . CCR Fogerty Fan Jim Fitzpatrick

Free Music Review: Rock with the Caveman
Hit: 5 Stars

I know I'll put another disc on sometime; I just know it. But not yet. Since this came out it's been playing over and over. I'd put it with "Blue Moon Swamp" and "Centerfield" as his best solo efforts. Fogerty has kept true to himself. While other rock icons try somewhat embarrassingly to update their work (read Rolling Stones for one) Fogerty has continued to record music that Creedence could well have done. Creedence still sells today because of the accessibility of the music, of the beat. Springsteen has strayed and returned with "Magic". Seger strayed, disappeared and returned with "Face the Promise". Fogerty has always remained true to his core music. Sometimes not so good [Eye of the Zombie] but then Creedence had it's unsatisfying albums too (Mardi Gras). You can't pass this up if you are a fan of Fogerty or Creedence.

Free Music Review: My Favorite John Fogerty Album
Hit: 5 Stars

I owned all the Creedence albums on vinyl, cassette and finally on CD, and I still enjoy every one of the recordings--especially the first five Creedence albums.

John's solo work was also exceptional. I own all but one.

This new release by John Fogerty is my favorite. The sound reminds me so much of Creedence, yet I actually like this new CD better than any of things I have, both the music John created while with his incredible 60's band and all of the things he did as a solo artist.

I have listened to this new CD a lot, and I never grow tired of it.

Those who choose to disregard it because of a few political statements are in a rut. John Fogerty is not. The music is incredible and the lyrics are relevant.

This is one of my favorite new releases.
