Free Music Notes for RevivalFree Music Review: Best Fogerty ever... Hit: 5 StarsI think this is better than anything he did with Credence Clearwater, which was mighty good.
Free Music Review: CCR returns Hit: 5 StarsFogerty finally quits fighting and revives the true Creedence Clearwater sound. And the results are phenomenal. This is the best rock album I've heard in YEARS. Good going, John!
Free Music Review: Skip over the rants and it's a fine effort. Hit: 3 StarsJohn Fogerty is a great talent who lets bitterness of one kind or another continually overshadow his music. "Revival" is a strong effort but it's dragged down by his George W. rants (John, for your own peace of mind remember, they're all the same guy--including whoever comes next.)It was all said to perfection in "Fortunate Son" anyway. The rest of the songs are some of the best he's done in years. Memorable melodies and fine, understated singing. The closing "Longshot" sounds forced but that's the only other flaw in an otherwise likeable collection.
Free Music Review: Goodtime Revival but it Ain't Blue Moon Swamp Hit: 4 StarsI'm a huge Fogerty and Creedence fan but I've got to be straight with you and say this isn't as hot as many review here claim. As far is it goes, it's probably his 3rd best solo album after Centerfield and Blue Moon Swamp. And it doesn't really compare with any of the classic Creedence albums from days past. Still, it's well-worth the purchase and it may grow better with time. It just doesn't have the immediate appeal that I've found with this best work. If you get a chance to see John live in concert, do it! He still puts on a great show.
Free Music Review: John Fogerty is simply the best in Rock n Roll, no question! Hit: 5 StarsThis new album is filled with so many wonderful songs. He speaks his mind on what is happening in the world today. Thanks John for putting a smile on my face and making every day brighter and filled with hope when listening to your music. The world is blessed to have such a wonderful person express himself as you do. A true icon...
