Free Music Review: JL: Evolver / Revolve - Most Definitely.

Thoroughly enjoying Evolver! Now, take this how you will, but this album is so full of feel good, wear your heart on your sleeve and be ok with it songs, that I'm inclined to call it sappy :) The sappiness, or perhaps the openness of a guy being into someone and knowing he got it right or wrong, is touching.
Besides that, the songs feel infinitely less "elevatorish" (you know, you hear a good melody, don't pay attention to the words - not even the chorus, and could either take or leave the music, but it doesn't leave a strong impression?) than those on 2006's Once Again which I have on my "Listen to at work" playlist, but I can't say I remember a single song/title/chorus off that cd.
My favourites are Good Morning (intro and song), Green Light (which made me buy the CD after hearing it on CBS' season lineup previews), Quickly (made me think of the troops), Satisfaction (good beat), Take Me Away, and, of course, If You're Out There (kinda reminds me of Ordinary People). And lastly, It's Over is good all around.
If you like "ballads" or songs with stories...this album is for you.
