Free Music Notes for Lennon Legend: The Very Best Of John Lennon

Free Music Review: I miss John:(
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm 15, and was raised on The Beatles, but I only got interested in John lennon's solo work a few months agp. The man was a musical genuis. That's NOT a lie at all! The best songs are "Just Like Starting Over" "Mother" "Imagine" "Happy XMas" and "Stand By me".

I miss John. I wasn't even alive when he was tragically murdered, but I'm sure he could've saved the music industry from the tasteless junk it has begun if he were still alive!

And I'll admit it . . . the first few times I heard "Imagine", I cried. It WAS a sincere statement. It wasn't his fault he was a rich man, he worked hard for it. Ever heard of the kind of dumps The Beatles had to play in before their big break?

Love you, John! You're one of the best!

Free Music Review: Perfect for Beatles fans
Hit: 5 Stars

I'm a huge Beatles fan, and recently I've started to get into their solo work. When it came to choosing a John Lennon solo CD to buy, I really wanted to get a greatest hits cd so that I'd be getting his best work. I'd only heard of the well-known hits "Imagine" and "Give Peace a Chance", which are classics. When I bought this CD my ears were opened to a whole new side of Lennon, along with his best music. All these songs are standouts, but my personal favorites are "Instant Karma" and "Watching the Wheels". I recommend this CD to any Beatles fan who wants to branch out into their solo work, but don't necessarily have the money or time to spend on each of their solo cds. This CD is constantly in my stereo, and it's something any Beatle fan would love, and at a great price too!

Free Music Review: Secret Peace
Hit: 5 Stars

My dad got this cd for X-mas, and he only got to listen to it a few times before i stole it from him! I couldn't resist it, and now i listen to it almost every day! My personal fave's are "Imagine"<<(but isn't this everyone's?), "Mind Games", and "Love" although "Jelous Guy" is an AWESOME song! John is the greatest!! He helped me to find myself when i was lost....puberty- what a hellish expierience. I owe my future to him! So THANX JOHN! i hope you will hear my songs on the radio someday! Listen for Joahn! In all, the most wonderful thing i have ever listened to...i highly recomend it for any hippy-dippy guys or chicks! (Results are best when used with double insence, windows, and TRIPLE fantasy!) Love to Yoko & Sean, my deepest sympathy. ~Joahn to some, Katie to others

Free Music Review: a great introduction and a thorough anthology
Hit: 5 Stars

I highly suggest this album to Beatles fans and newcomers of John Lennon solo work. This "greatest hits" album encapsulates the musical diversity and genius of John Lennon's solo career, paying fair attention to his ROCK AND ROLL album, which everyone should check out. If there is one thing missing on this album, it is Lennon's version of GOD--a brilliant and radical song for its time. Nevertheless, this album is quite comprehensive and offers the listener a sizable number of tracks and eclectic musical experimentation. To denigrate this anthology simply because it lacks one essential Lennon solo track would be to unfairly judge an album that equally provides the new listener to one of the most important musicians and artists of the twentieth century--if not of all time.

Free Music Review: Genius
Hit: 5 Stars

I just recently got this DVD from my friend, and I was surprised I got it. I loved John Lennon with the Beatles and with his solo career which was very successful until his death in 1980. I watched this DVD and I was amazed, very good video clips, but Happy X-mas was a little sad, in fact....very sad. And I found a bunch of songs on this DVD I never knew he wrote but I have heard before. (Same with the Beatles). This is quite possibly one of my favorite DVDs not just because I'm a huge Beatles and Lennon fan but because it has great music and learn the life of John Lennon from himself. There is one thing I do not like about this DVD is there's to much Yoko One, and I don't like Yoko Ono since she was like 90% of the reason the Beatles broke up, but thats just me.
