Free Music Notes for Continuum (Limited Edition)Free Music Review: Limited Edition Review Hit: 5 Stars
I enjoyed the first two studio albums enough (Room for Squares & Heavier Things) and I liked this album on its initial release. I thought he was a good song writer but I wasn't completely sold on his guitar playing talent until I saw him live. It wasn't until then that I ran out and bought every live album he's made. He is truly amazing live. Despite the fact that I think the record company is trying to shake me down for more of my hard earned money for an album I already own, this album is worth it for the six live tracks alone. I bought it for the live, 10 minutes and 21 seconds, incendiary version of "Gravity" and the rockin' live version of "I Don't Need No Doctor". This is a must have if you're a John Mayer fan. And if you don't have "Where The Light Is" you need that too...... but that's a whole other review.
Free Music Review: I feel the same as are you kidding Hit: 5 Stars
I don't know what to say since I haven't heard the cd, which is why I left this with a three stars. John Mayer is an incredible talent, possibly the future of the blues, and Continuum is arguable his best album. That being said, for the large part of North America who already owns the album (the album sold many copies in both the US and Canada) this is another crappy record company exploitation scheme. Again encouraging people to start downloading.
Free Music Review: I feel differently than Are you kidding? Hit: 5 Stars
I don't own this recording yet, so I will buy this edition. I can appreciate if I owned a prior edition of Continuum I wouldn't want to purchase it again.I think John Mayer is a great talent and has been the future of rock and blues ever since he began.I love Waiting on the World to Change. I heard him play this at Live Earth USA.Peace,Edje
Free Music Review: Fantastic Album Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of those albums an artist puts out and you wonder how they'll ever top it.
Not ONE bad song on this bad boy!
My favorite is "Gravity"!
peace!
Free Music Review: Are you kidding? Hit: 1 Stars
I love John Mayer's work, but are you kidding me? $23 for another copy of Continuum and five of its songs recorded live? Making customers feel exploited at every turn might be one of the things wrong with the recorded music business.
