Free Music Review: Unsurpassed
Hit: 5 Stars

An excellent album!

"Gravity" is his most popular, thoughtful song in this album. It deals with the touchy subject matter similar to "Belief". They are both very well done and Mayer even said he knew he'd have to be careful with a song called "Belief".

"Vultures", "Stop This Train", "The Heart of Life", and "Slow Dancing" are love at first listen for me. The guitar in the beginning of "Vultures" is great. "Stop This Train" is so touching. "Slow Dancing In A Burning Room" is an awesome title and an awesome song.

There's the very popular "Waiting on the World to Change" and "Say" that are constantly on the radio but I think a few other of his songs need to also make a bigger appearance.

All the lyrics and the guitar are meaningful and full of thought. The songs are very deep and relatable. John Mayer did a great job!

I can tolerate John Mayer's earlier hits more than the other junk that's on the radio, but I never bought any of his earlier albums. As soon as I heard 'Waiting On the World To Change' I went out and bought this album straightaway. It helped that he started appearing in music magazine's top guitarists lists... and I feel like this album is the kind of music that he wanted to make when he started all this. He wrote those cute poppy numbers to be able to get to a place where he could write this new music. He has managed to combine his pop/singer-songwriter stuff with blues, to make a really great album that I think would appeal to both crowds. People joke when they hear I like him, but hey, he is a REALLY talented musician and it's time that those of us that value that start paying attention to him.

Fans of John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Josh Ritter...
check out singer/songwriter James Willhite.

"Willhite often draws comparisons to artists such as John Mayer and Jack Johnson because of his smooth voice, heartfelt songwriting and mellow blues-inspired guitar work. Although Willhite has discovered his own unique sound as of lately, the presence of these contemporary greats is quite prevalent. One may also hear the subtle blues influence of the late guitar legend Stevie Ray Vaughan, who along with Mayer and Johnson is Willhite's biggest musical inspiration."

Debut EP and new single are here on Amazon MP3, on iTunes and emusic.

Continuum......n...A continuous whole quality , or series ; thing whose parts cannot be separated or separately discerned .
Another great Album by John Mayer....for sure . He's got a lot of talent , and will be around the music business for many years to come . I have to admit.....I was a bit disappointed , with this Album.....oh don't get me wrong . He's very satisfying to listen to . But....I received this album for Christmas.... . I also have his album " Where The Light Is " . Nine out of the thirteen tracks on " Continuum " ....are duplications of those same tracks from " Where The Light Is " . Only difference , one is " live " one is studio recorded . I was looking for something new....from John , in the way of titles .

Free Music Review: Wasn't Sure at First
Hit: 5 Stars

I had heard a grand total of two JM songs before buying this album: Say and Waiting on the World to Change. I wasn't planning on buying the album, but I randomly found it at a used book sale for two dollars. What a steal! Still not so sure, I listened to it half heartedly. It was amazing! The perfect blend of rock, pop, even blues. The album has grown on me a ton. I paid two dollars then, but I would easily pay twenty for it now. Since purchasing, I have purchased several other JM albums, all of which are amazing. One last note: I have more than 4000 songs in my iTunes library from more than thirty different genres, and I can easily say that, no question, John Mayer is my favorite artist.
