Free Music Notes for Inside Wants OutFree Music Review: John Mayer - Quality Musician and Music Hit: 5 Stars
To those of us who love John Mayer's music, listening to Inside Wants Out is a true pleasure. This first CD by John Mayer (re-released) is basically an accousitc disc giving it a personal feeling. When listening to it you feel as if you are part of it - envisioning yourself in the novel or video or something extraordinary. The lyrics are honest and witty, dealing with issues/feelings that many of us choose to ignore, but all of us can relate to. One of the best experiences is hearing the evolution from this first CD to the newer fully orchestrated Room For Squares. A few same songs on these two CD's do not even compare and it is definitely worth owning them both! John Mayer is talented beyond his years and demonstrates that through the words and music he writes - as well as how he performs. The songs on this CD can be listened to time and time again - the mark of a true artist! This is a must have for all of his fans (and potential ones)and leaves us wanting more of this artist's music.
Free Music Review: The best Libra that I'd like to get to know. So down to earth, it's ridiculous! 4.7 stars. Hit: 5 Stars
Well, to be totally honest to a fault, I liked some of the original recordings more so than these acoustic versions. But really, they're both pretty good.
Track-By-Track Ratings:
1. Back To You 4 stars. (the version on His full-length debut is superior)
2. No Such Thing 4.5 stars. (pleasant pop goodness)
3. My Stupid Mouth 4.25 stars. (honest to a fault)
4. Neon 4.5 stars. (one of His deepest tracks ever. Many girls are broken and searching for themselves, like this young lady is...)
5. Victoria 3.75 stars. (calming & previously unreleased beforehand)
6. Love Soon 4 stars. (like the title)
7. Comfortable 3.75 stars. (acoustic goodness)
8. Quiet 4.5 stars. (liked this one for a while...)
Wow. Didn't expect it to be better than his debut... O_o
37.25/8 = 4.65625
4.65625 = 4.7
4.7 stars.

Free Music Review: Go On, Let Inside Out! Hit: 5 Stars
I'm a fairly new fan of Mr. Mayer, drawn in by the suprise hit single "No Such Thing". Recently, after getting his "Room For Squares" album and loving it, I took the opportunity to also get this re-released EP album. An even cut between original versions of the "RFS" tracks and some totally exclusive stuff, this little album is a real gem. The single "No Such Thing" sounds much more raw vocally here than it does on the album. It's not worse or better, it's different. The song and lyrics are great either way though. The original of "My Stupid Mouth" is another jewel. The 'new' tracks are all high quality. While "Victoria", "Comfortable", and "Quiet" are all great, my personal favorite of this whole mini-album is the track "Love Soon". That track just totally clicks for me. An EP that's totally worth the cost, I can't wait for further works from John Mayer.
Free Music Review: The best of John Mayer- at least for now... Hit: 5 Stars
I have been a big fan of John Mayer's music for over four years now. I bought RFS before his "commercial success" took off and then HT. It took me a little while to buy this album for some reason. I am very glad that I did finally get IWO because the tracks that appear on RFS are actually better on this one. The music has more vulnerability, especially on "Comfortable." If you are a John Mayer fan then definitely do not hesitate in getting this album. If you are new to his music then you might still want to start here before RFS and HT. John Mayer was great in concert this summer and I look forward to his new album. He played a few blues songs and so hopefully he ventures into more blues. He is a very talented guitarist and I have serious doubts that I will ever grow tired of his music. I'm curious to see what direction he takes his music...
Free Music Review: buy it NOWWW!! Hit: 5 Stars
wow i cant emphasize enough how amazing john mayer is---but warning to those who havent gotten used to him- hes totally an artist you should listen to for a while and let sink in-dont expect to fall in love the second you hear a single. I think the best thing about him is his lyrics---he hits soo many things dead on in everything he says---Comfortable, Back to You, Love Song for No one are all perfect examples---if your unfortunate enough to be in those situations listening to these songs is AMMAAZZINNGGG- but the cool thing about john is that hes not ALL heavy-listen-to-when-your-depressed-cuz-ur-boyfriend-just-dumped-you-songs, his NEON, SUCKER, MY STUPID MOUTH and CITY LOVE (okok...these arent all from this cd---so i burned it, sue me....) are really fun and light hearted but cool. i recommend you buy both cds and play them nonstop:)
