Free Music Notes for The Village SessionsFree Music Review: Worth the 6 songs... Hit: 5 Stars
...if you're a die hard fan, or prefer the acoustic arrangement. Its quite the saturday afternoon laidback feel, and eventhough its just six songs its hard to put it down. Something much deeper and serene about playing 'live'...and the guitar solos, well its something else! Like in 'Belief'!
I suggest getting continuum if you're unfamiliar with his work, but this cd will not disappoint.
Free Music Review: OH SO GOOD Hit: 5 Stars
If you're a huge John Mayer fan & you love his newest album as well as acoustics, this CD is superb! I'm along the lines of anything by John Mayer is going to make me smile & to hear studio songs one acoustically makes me that much happier. It's a good addition to the John Mayer collection. You won't be disappointed... though maybe by the fact that it's only five songs.
Free Music Review: Cherry on top Hit: 5 Stars
This is a great JM CD if you are already a fan and are looking for that extra acoustic take on some familiar songs. I love the vocal rhythm changes in "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" and the soft guitar in "Belief" I definitely think that this offers a cool, chill feel to John's music, and is a nice tag along with "Where the light is?"
Free Music Review: A must buy from a true legend... Hit: 5 Stars
A truely wonderful release from the talented John Mayer.
I am biased, but I gotta say this CD contains some really great alternate versions to songs found on John most recent release, "Continuum".
My fav is the collaboration with Ben Harper on Belief and Waiting on the World to Change, but all songs are great!
Free Music Review: Succint success! Hit: 5 Stars
Oh my...at first, I thought SIX SONGS??? He's GOT to be kidding! But then I drew a bubble bath, poured a glass of wine, and settled into The Village Sessions. Although the disc is short, it is some of John Mayer's finest work, showing off not only his sexy voice, but his masterful acoustical guitar. Worth every penny!
