I'm one of the growing John Mayer fans in the world and this CD is a great compilation of some of his current work. In essence, this CD gives you a quick snap-shot of three of his current musical projects and it doesn't disappoint. This is also available as a DVD/CD combo that shows the footage taken of the taping of this show. I caught the show on cable and loved it. I happen to be a relatively new Mayer fan. Saw him in concert 18 months ago and was blown away. This CD is amazing and brought tears to my eyes several times and chills up and down my spine. He is a musical genius and no where is it captured better then on this CD. (Except seeing him live) His blues set with the trio is the best sequence for me but it is all amazing! Live or studio, John Mayer's music is good stuff. This recording is beautifully mastered. You get live quality without the hiss of the audience. Plus, this is a pretty good deal, two disks for a little more than the price of one.

I am blown away by John Mayer. If you haven't seen this DVD, don't wait! It showcases his talent, diversity, and originality in every way. His voice is mesmerizing, his lyrics are endearing without being too sappy, and his guitar playing is incredible. His bluesy roots come through but you don't have to be a blues fan to get addicted. This guy is so talented. It is just absolutely amazing the way he can play the guitar. You get to hear all three of his musical personalities on this one cd. First is his usual acoustic set. Next is his trio set where he just oozes with the influences of SRV and Jimi Hendrix. Lastly, he ends with his pop style. The wonderful thing is he is great at all three. Purchase this and you will not regret it.
