Free Music Review: Another Strong Album for John..Ho Hum!

There's cerainly nothing wrong with this solid album, it just didn't take him anywhere new after his critically acclaimed "Scarecrow". The singles are all as solid as ever, and he has good moments in the supporting tracks, particularly on "Hard Times For An Honest Man". I just felt that after the terrific step forward on "Scarecrow", Mellencamp would get more adventurous; he wouldn't take that step until 1993's "Human Wheels".
