Free Music Review: Great classical soundtrack of musical numbers

I bought this CD mainly for one song - Slaughter on 10th Avenue - after having seen the movie "Words and Music" and not being able to find a CD soundtrack for the movie. Since I'm a huge fan of Gene Kelly, plus a fan of Fred Astaire and Judy Garland, I figured this CD would get a lot of play.
I enjoy the variety of music on the CD, from "You Made Me Love You", sung by a very young Judy Garland to a photo of Clark Gable in "Broadway Melody of 1938", to "An American in Paris" from the ballet sequence of the Gene Kelly movie. That said, I do wish there had been more of Fred Astaire's songs from his many movies. Having only one medley of songs for such a talented performer isn't enough for fans who want more.
All in all, this is a good CD and I'm glad I was able to find it.
