This CD is vaguely familiar to the E.T. 20th Anniversary soundtrack! Some songs have those high, scary notes that were heard in that album. Anyway, the movie and the CD rock so get both and also purchase the Harry Potter 1 soundtrack too that one is a very good CD that is also like this one, heck the three I mentioned are by John Williams, the best movie score composer!GET THE DVD TO HARRY POTTER 1 with this too to add more atmosphere.

I really enjoy the soundtrack from the first film, but I think that I have found something even better. I can listen over and over to this soundtrack and it never gets old. I have several favorite tracks that others are sure to enjoy. I remember #2 from the end credits, it enthralled me then as it does now. 3, 9, 11, 14, 19, .... I can't just name a few, they are all great. I haven't heard William's music sound this good for a while.Free Music Review: AMAZING AGAIN!!!

In my opinion, this score is better than the previous from the Scorer's Stone. Mainly because the orchestration is mmore intense and colorful. After hearing the Chamber, and then go back to The Stone, you'll feel that the first one lacked some developmental elements, and orchestral emptiness. William Ross has really taken Williams' score to the next level. I'm interested to see when Ross will have his own score.Free Music Review: An Amazing Spectacle!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is an awesome soundtrack. The orchestra is conducted wonderfully by William Ross, and the notes written by John Williams are rich and haunting.
The new themes in this soundtrack are stunning. We treated to themes for Gilderoy Lockhart, Dobby the House Elf, Fawkes the Pheonix, and the Chamber of Secrets.
All in all, an absolutely stunning piece of work.

In my opinion John Williams has never composed a score that remains unheared in a Big Budget film, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is no exception. In this Cd, the second of the series, John Williams composes yet another wonderful score. Matching the movie perfectly, just like the first. I think everyone who is a Harry Potter or a classical music fan should pick this one up. WAY TO GO JOHN!!!(..)
