Free Music Notes for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Free Music Review: Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.
Hit: 5 Stars

I of course knew that with every great film, there comes a soundtrack. I was a little apprehensive when I heard that there was going to be one for Harry Potter. I wondered how on earth anybody could take the magic of Harry Potter and turn it into music.

All doubts vanished from my mind when I saw the Harry Potter Theatrical Trailer. The music was extraordinary. I couldn't believe it. I anxiously awaited the arrival of the soundtrack, a few weeks before the movie was due to hit theaters. Upon hearing the first note, I was completely hooked.

My favorite song on the track has to be Hedwig's Theme. It took just a little snippet from all the other songs, and combined them all into one glorious finale.

John Williams is one of the best composers that ever walked on the face of the earth. He is indeed, truly "magical."

Free Music Review: The BEST CD I own (and I've got a lot of cds!)
Hit: 5 Stars

First of all, I'm a HUGE fan of the Harry Potter books. As soon as this CD came out, I ran to the local KMart and picked up a copy. I will tell you this: I was not disappointed. The movie won't come out for about a week, but listening to this cd already helps you invision everything from it. The first song, Prologue, gives you this sense of mystery as well as magic. I really like number 19, Hedwig's Theme, because it has a basic summing-up of the soundtrack, so if you like that song, you'll probably love the rest of the cd. Some songs are full of action (#'s 11 and 16)
and others are full of mystery (#'s 1 and 3), and one is downright creepy (#17). And track number 2, Harry's Wonderous World, makes you more than ever wish that you got a letter from Hogwarts. My advice to anyone (Potter fan or not) is to pick up this cd.

Free Music Review: Excellent!
Hit: 5 Stars

This CD was excellent! I loved all the music on it. (I haven't heard every track yet) It's easy to tell it's for kids because of the comical atomosphere it gives out. I loved "The Quidditch Match". It was very exciting and gave sense of danger. I can hear hints from "Hook" hidden in the notes, mostly it the quieter parts of the song. I liked "The Face of Voldemort," a lot. The theme for Voldemort is very creepy when it was played with the choir and strings in the first few seconds of the track, and the Prologue theme is played here and there. "Leaving Hogwarts," introduces (As far as I know) a very good theme. The very end sounds very good, and shows that that is where the movie ends.

I loved the CD and hope that John Williams is assigned to score the other 6 Harry Potter movies!

Free Music Review: A Very Mystical Soundtrack
Hit: 5 Stars

Have you watched Jurassic Park? Any of the them? Have you watched Star Wars? AI? ET? Hook? Sabrina? Home Alone? Schindler's List? Saving Private Ryan? Stepmom? And my last question is: Have you watched Harry Potter? Well these and many more movie soundtracks have been done by John Williams. Though some don't like how there's no vocals or that there's a lot of the same theme. But the theme is very mystical and fits the movie. Also it's played a few different ways. I should say also, this isn't one of those movies like "The Sound of Music". It's a score album. But it's very well done. Some of the songs even sound like Jurassic Park or Star Wars if you listen closely enough.

I enjoy the soundtrack immensely and my father who hasn't even seen the movie but heard the soundtrack, loves the soundtrack.
