Free Music Review: Utterly Beautiful

It took me being an idiot, and selling this CD some years ago, and then reclaiming it again just tonight in order to realize what a beautiful collection of music this really is. Seriously, this set shows off the amazing scope and depth that John Williams has, while it doesn't have every last one of his amazing compositions, it still shows what a fine composer Mr. Williams really is.
I will start off by stating that I started yearning for the set again after I saw a preview of E.T. being broadcast on TV and heard the sweeping "Flying Theme" playing in the background. The next thing you know, I'm off looking for this set, and bam! It's right in front of me, and I just decide to buy it. I then get home, and allow myself to relax and be blown away as the Star Wars theme begins to play.
From there, it's a journey through time, and memories as I recognize more than half the compositions on this 2-disc set. Stuff from Star Wars, E.T., Hook, Jaws, Indiana Jones, among many others permeate this beautiful experience. I still listened to the themes from the movies and whatnot that I did not recognize, and I still liked a good majority of what I listened to, the JFK theme in particular was powerful.
This is just a solid set of beautiful, orchestrated, and memorable music that is a journey through time, memories, and great movies. Honestly, what more could one ask for? For the price, this set does justice to the legacy of the man who is, in my books, one of the greatest modern classical composers of all time.

This double disk album represents the greatest music of modern cinema. John Williams is an absolute genius and you can literally see the movies run before your eyes while listening to the soundtracks. All of his greatest work up to 1999 is on this album, with popular themes like Star Wars or Jurassic Park and less known pieces like Summon the Heroes. For lovers of movie themes, this is the best and most complete album I've listened to. It is also played by amazing orchestras like London Symphony and Boston Pops, which are always a delight to hear. I am waiting impatiently for a new album with more recent themes like Geisha, and Harry Potter!Free Music Review: Simply Awesome!!

This two disc CD does an excellent job of covering thirty years of Academy Award winner John Williams' greatest hits. It contains main title themes from films such as Star Wars, E.T., Jaws, Indiana Jones, Home Alone, and of course the best theme of them all (in my opinion), Superman. It also contains two principal themes from the summer Olympics that NBC has used in its broadcasts since 1996 when John Williams composed the album "Summon the Heroes."
The sound quality is excellent and I've been extremely pleased with the product.
Bottom Line: Great CD with unforgettable hits. Buy it today if you're interested in it.
