For all guitar players and fans of rock and blues , check out this album. A smooth mix of blues guitar and a take on Hendrix and The "Wind Cries Mary", this album has something for everyone. Johnny A. opens with "Hip Bone", a smooth bluesy bit with nice licks and a little of all your favorite guitarists thrown in,an excellent selection, good for the freedom of the open road. In fact this whole album is refreshing no matter what your mood may be. "Poor Side of Town" is an excellent rendition of the classic, very moody and personal. Johnny A. AND "GET INSIDE" are winners, do not pass this album up.

Free Music Review: Johnny A Does it Again! Hit: 5 Stars
I loved Johnny A's first CD - Sometime Tuesday Morning - so I was thrilled when I heard he was putting out a second one. I've been a fan of most of the stuff on this record label (Favored Nations) so I had very high expectations of this disc.. I was not disapointed, that's for sure!Johnny's tone is just amazing. I am a guitarist and I am just in awe when he plays. He is crystal clear and so expressive! The songs he plays really say something. I am not a huge jazz/blues fan, but Johnny has pretty much converted me. Check this out if you are a fan of guitar, blues, jazz, or just amazing music.
Free Music Review: Johnny's outdone himself again! Hit: 5 Stars
I previewed and purchased Johnny A.'s latest "Get Inside" CD and was once again "blown away" by this musician's talent! All but 2 of the cuts on this disc are his own originals. His frequent use of "reverse chording" gives a completely unique sound to his work. His musical interpretations of Johnny River's "Poor Side of Town" and Hendrix's "The Wind Cries Mary" are a tribute to these classics. He's added as few new members to his band, and included horns & organ on a few numbers, expanding his sound. This CD was worth the wait!
Free Music Review: Johnny A gets an A Hit: 5 Stars
Driving home one night, I heard a jivey yet relaxed guitar instrumental. The clarity of the guitar chords and notes was striking and at first I thought this was the sound of Santana. But no, not at all. I waited through the whole set on the radio and prayed that the announcer would reveal the name of the artist. Got home. Went to Johnny A's website and became the proud of owner of Get Inside. Johnny A does covers and writes original music across several CD's. Seems like the kind of guy you'd want to meet after listening to his set in your favorite local venue.
