After reading about this guy in Guitar Player, I can only say I'm majorly disappointed. The uninitiated should be warned that they're not buying a "regular" CD. There are no vocals in any of the songs - just a bunch of tracks that sound like jams by a bunch of session players. Which is essentially what Hiland is. Yes, the playing is technically proficient. Hence my 2 stars instead of just one (which is really where my satisfaction with this CD lies). But this guy is no new "master of the Telecaster" or anything close! There is nothing jaw-dropping here, folks, and all the hype is definitely UNjustified. Don't buy.
