Free Music Review: One of the Best
Hit: 5 Stars

I fell in love with the song Midnight in Chelsea three years ago, but did not purchase this album until recently. While many fans are disappointed because this isn't the Bon Jovi sound they should realize that this is Jon and much like the albums by fellow member Richie Sambora their solo sounds are their own. The album starts off with "Queen of New Orleans" which is reminicent of Tom Petty's "Last Dance with MaryJane", it is truly one of the best. "Janie don't take your love to town" tells the story of a man who is completely in love with a girl but has trouble putting that love in words and now may lose the girl because of this. "August 7, 4:15" is a beautiful tribute to the daughter of his manager that was murdered when she was six years old. "...with a Suitcase in My Hand" is an excellent story of a love that's over but the singer is hesitant to give up. This album is a bluesy, rock collaboration that is a must have for any music collection. It has that pick-you-up-and-make-you-feel-good sound that is so neccessary these days

Free Music Review: There is a reason it says "Jon Bon Jovi" instead of Bon Jovi
Hit: 5 Stars

O.K., I admit it-I wasn't too thrilled with this offering from New Jersey's 2nd most known rocker the first time I heard it. It doesn't have the power of New Jersey or Slippery...or even Keep The Faith. It is what it says it is.....a journey. The songs are great and the arrangements are very interesting. This record is top notch when you look at it for what it is....Jon Bon Jovi, and not the band Bon Jovi. It is a very meaningful record to me, because after I stopped bitching about the alternative sound that it undoubtedly possesses, I really listened to it and realized that a lot of it hits home to me, personally. I am a DJ and have played much of this album in the club I work in, and have recieved quite the positive response (After I convinced people it was, in fact, Jon Bon Jovi)from almost everyone who heard it. I really feel that this record is some of Jon's best work, and it's unfortunate that it won't ever get a fair chance.

Free Music Review: Unbelievable
Hit: 5 Stars

I have at least ten Bonjovi albums which of course are all brilliant, so when I come across this album only a few months ago, I decided to get it and give it a listen. What can I say, if you love Jon, you will love this. It's not just the words, it's the music. I'm sure he helped compose it. It's got a bit of a jazz and grove twist to it. I listen to it every day. This is the first chance I've had to express my feelings, I wish I could tell the band they absolutely rock. I'm a real rock chick, always have been, and I believe the world is a better place because of Bonjovi. There isn't a song that I don't like, and that's the truth. You can condense this for your review, I just had to say what I feel. I truely hope they come this way again soon, it would be real honour and dream come true if I could meet them. I'm sure all the girls say that. Anyway thankyou for allowing me to say my piece.

Free Music Review: Jon goes down a different road...
Hit: 5 Stars

I have to admit, I did NOT like this album when I first heard it. I thought it was dull and slow moving. The songs sounded basically all the same at first, and there wasn't a single song that "popped" out at me.

I put this record away for a couple months, then returned to it. It sounded completely different. I realized that Jon Bon Jovi and Bon Jovi were two different artists. I am a huge Bon Jovi fan, and when I first listened to DA, I was expecting something Bon Jovi-ish. Don't. This record is NOTHING like ANY Bon Jovi albums. Jon expresses himself beautifully in all his songs, using the power of his voice and words to leave you breathless. This is definately different than the loud and wild Jon Bon Jovi we know from Bon Jovi. It's uncanny how he transformed, but it's amazing. This man is truly talented and has a heart of gold.

Free Music Review: Jon Bon Jovi...where were you?
Hit: 5 Stars

This is a masterpiece! It has left me gobsmacked a lot of times. I received this CD in 1997 from a friend and I just hated this CD! I thought this was, well...darn awful of Bon Jovi to come up with wussy songs like these...So, I had put this album away until a few months later, out of sheer boredom, I played it again...This time, I kept reading the lyrics as the song was played out. I have never stopped listening to the songs since. I think it has something to do with the lucid and easy-to-remember lyrics, and ofcourse, you give Jon Bon Jovi a nursery rhyme and he will make a song out of it.

Its 2006, and I just bought my second copy. I had lost my earlier copy in 1999.

That has to say a lot for the genius that this guy is...
