I've been a fan of Jon Secada's since the first time I ever heard Just Another Day. In fact, that is still one of the few songs in the universe that I could hear over and over and not ever get tired of.
Not only is he a talented singer with a great voice, he wrote every single song on here but Time Heals. He writes songs not only for himself, but he's worked with Gloria Estefan and Ricky Martin to name only two people.
On this cd, the standout songs are Just Another Day, Angel and Do You Believe In Us. Angel is possibly one of the most beautiful songs ever written. It's a stunning ballad. The only way to see if you agree with me, is to get a copy of this for yourself, and you will not be disappointed. It's so good and the kind of cd that doesn't date easily. I still love it now even though it came out in 1992.

Actually, I was looking for the spanish version of this album-Otro Dia mas sin verte-but i never found it. This is an excellent album with very easy to hear songs, and not to mention that contains the greatest Jon Secada hits:Angel,Just Another day without you!!!And you can actually hear Gloria Stefans backing vocals! I was watching the Grammys in 1992 when Jon Secada was among the nominees for Best New Artist...and there was no doubt in my mind, heart, soul that he was. So, I'm just another one of those gals who don't get it. Because he didn't win, and if my life depended on it - I wouldn't remember who did. No matter. This Audio CD is one of the greatest musical masterpieces. Every once in long while a truly grand voice meshes so exquisitely with the music - that it resounds in your core with inspiration, courage, honor, dignity and profound love. Yes, music - great music - can do this. I am so happy that I never did sell my CD. But then, I believe if anybody wants to know the true value of art like this, you gotta listen to it with everything you have.Free Music Review: Genius, Sheer Genius

Cuban born Jon Secada has stood the test of time. This debut album of his is 13 years old now, and the hits don't stop! If you are looking for that timeless voice of a male pop star, search no more. "Just Another Day" is my friend's favorite song, we play it nearly every night before we go out. The Spanish version is great too, in essence, its nearly the same exact song, but in sung Secada's native tongue, making it that more heartfelt and emotional.
Other standout tracks are "Angel" (also the Spanish version), and "Do You Believe in Us" which my other friend recently just brought to my attention as one of the best pop tracks to hit the charts in the 90's. If anyone doesn't agree with this, they need to sit down and spend an evening with Secada, and the magic he sends through the speakers. Mucho Gusto!

I absolutely love Jon Secada's music. I love his voice because the passion he feels for his music comes across to the listener. I just get caught up in the words and powerful meaning to his songs, especially I'm Free. That song paints a beautiful visual image (if you have an imagination) and empowers you. I have purchased this cd and the Greatest Hits cd and played them both so much they are simply worn, so I've got to buy them again, only this time I am going to save them on my computer before I wear them out. Thank you Jon Secada for sharing your PURE TALENT with us.
