Free Music Notes for Holy HarmonyFree Music Review: Is this the song of the Creator? Hit: 5 Stars
I had to have something special for review #300, and here it is--a very powerful vibrational CD--very soothing, very meditative, and very, very special! On the surface, you have the vibrational sounds of the tuning forks interspaced with a choral chant, and repeating throughout the entire 72 minute CD. There is a 16 page booklet which accompanies the CD. The repeating choral chant makes you feel as if you had just walked into a massive gothic cathedral, and were facing God Himself, the extremely high ceiling covered in what appears to be hand-painted murals of Christ, Mary, and the angels. Hundreds of candles and beautiful flowers adorned both sides of the altar. The church was completely vacant of earthly beings, except for you. As you walked down the long center isle of the cathedral toward God, angels stood on both sides of the isle and sang the chant. They smiled at you, and welcomed you to come forward.
Jonathan Goldman is an authority on sound-healing vibrational music and a pioneer in the field of harmonics. In this CD, he used tuning forks, which he had cut to special frequencies to match healing codes from the Bible. The chant is a prayer "linked to personal and global healing through the Christian Messiah Yeshua". Jonathan states that these original Solfeggio tones appear to fulfill Biblical prophecies and revelations and are believed to be related to the Creator's ancient musical scale used in creation, destruction, and miraculous manifestations including healings. Jonathan worked with Dr.Horowitz to obtain all 9 frequencies of what Horowitz calls "God's perfect circle of sound" and had the tuning forks produced.
The repeating chant is the "YHSVH Chant" or "Yod Hey Shin Vav Hey". It is said to be a powerful prayer from specific letters of the Hebrew alphabet used to manifest the Christ energy and possibly anchor it into the body, while doing a vibrational recalibration of our cellular structure and DNA.
I have used this CD to go off to sleep with, to meditate with, and have chanted along with it. (I prefer to do something with my mind during part of my sleep time.) As a Reiki Master, I believe this CD to be vibrationally superb. I feel as though it awakens deep into the cellular level. I am listening and chanting as I am writing this review and I feel my whole body tingling, particularly the crown and heart chakras. When I chant with it, I feel an even more intense connection with God.
I would consider this CD for personal use, in raising your personal vibration; as a gift for someone, especially for someone who is seriously ill; as background music for alternative healing modalities (Reiki, Acupuncture, massage therapy); or even for something as simple as helping someone get a better night's sleep--somehow, though, I think you/they will get much more in the long run.
5 stars? If you believe, how can you even begin to quantify this CD? My God! If it is what I think it is, it is PRICELESS!
May the peace and love of God and His magnificent angels guide you on your path forward.
Namaste'
Note: December 2009--This CD really seems to stay with you, even if you don't listen to it for awhile. You may find that, like I, you hear it and feel it in the silence. As another reviewer put it, you would think that hearing "Yod Hey Shin Vav Hey" over and over would be annoying, but it isn't. Instead, its musical vibration becomes a part of you.
Free Music Review: Putting on the garment of His Presence Hit: 5 Stars
There is evidence that sacred sound in the form of pure sounds, music, song and chant has been applied as medicine from ancient times. Some consider it the most ancient of all therapies. Pythagoras was aware of this. Others who wrote about the therapeutic effect of music on the soul include the Persian scholar Abu Nasr al-Farabi (872 - 951) who discussed music therapy in his book Meanings of the Intellect and Robert Burton in his extraordinary tome The Anatomy of Melancholy (1621).
The subtitle of this sonic masterpiece is Healing Code Tuning Forks & Ancient YHSVH Chant. The music blends two sounds: the tones of tuning forks cut to 9 frequencies known as healing codes or Solfeggio Tones and the vocal mantra chant Yod Hey Shin Vav Hey which is the 5-fold name of the Divine, chanted by Goldman and Sarah Benson.
This combination is the Holy Name (Tetragrammaton) of which one meaning is Life Giver, with the Hebrew sound "Shin" added in the middle. "The energy of Spirit descended into matter" is the mystical meaning of this sound & the letter representing it. It was probably pronounced Yahushua in ancient, and Yeshua (emphasis on 2nd syllable "oo" sound) in later Hebrew. Almost every word in the language has more than one, sometimes many layers of meaning. Two related meanings of this divine name are "Life Saver" and "Divine Healer."
Six electromagnetic sonic frequencies (cycles per second) were found in the book Healing Codes for the Biological Apocalypse by Drs. Leonard Horowitz & Joseph Puleo who discovered them in the Tenakh (Old Testament). They are 396, 417, 28, 639, 741, 852. During the recording of an earlier work, Goldman's sound engineer and co-producer, someone with a mathematical mind, suggested that there ought to be 3 further frequencies to complete the scale. This was confirmed by Dr Horowitz; these Herz are 174, 285 & 963.
There are two instrumental sounds: a bell-like sound when a fork is struck and a cluster of continuous & interweaving droning chimes of various pitches, obviously the aforementioned frequencies. The psychological effect of the music is immediate - it dissolves emotions like anger, anxiety, depression & irritation, replacing them with peace. I strongly suspect it has physical healing properties too.
The informative CD booklet of Holy Harmony provides more information on the healing codes and the YHSVH chant, along with quotes from the work of the aforementioned author Dr. Horowitz. The cover displays an inspiring hand drawn geometrical symbol by Donald Beaman, representing the descent of the tree of life and the ascent of the tree of knowledge. Further information on sonic healing and music therapy is available in Sacred Sounds by Ted Andrews, Words of Power by Brian Crowley and the composer's own Healing Sounds: The Power of Harmonics.
Free Music Review: A Meditational Tool Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of those rare C.D.s that without fail allows me to get to a deep meditational state rather quickly. I first heard it in Reiki I and II class when the teacher was playing it extensively throughout the class. I've listened to new age-type music for decades and have quite a collection but this one "grabbed me" (as did the Jonathan Goldman/Gregg Braden title "The Divine Name" for the same reason). "Holy Harmony" can also be played in the background for other activities also to create a spiritual background sound ambience. A very sacred, Cathedral-sounding mantra (with tuning forks in the background)that cuts to the soul.
Free Music Review: Best Healing CD ever! Hit: 5 Stars
Jonathon Goldman has been working with sound healing for many years and this is his greatest CD. Holy Harmony is a combination of six healing codes played on specially created tuning forks and a powerful mantra composed of specific letters of the Hebrew alphabet based on the sacred name of God.
Everyone that has ever heard the recording has wanted to know more about it and own their own copy. I've been using it in my healing practice for years now and completely recommend it to anyone whether they want just some beautiful sounds to listen to, some relaxing music or the healing qualities.
