Although I recommend you skip the first two tracks (over-produced crap), the rest of the album is amazing and deserves the full 5 stars. I borrowed the album from a friend thinking "this will be good for laughs", but while listening to it,,, I was floored. Jordan Knight and his team ROCK. The tracks are well thought-out, letting the simplicty of the instrumentation and light vocals sell the song (without sounding like bubble-gum pop). He doesn't try to show-off as a vocalist, instead he uses his vocals to enhance the music. It's a great listen. With the exception of the first two songs, it's a mature, great sounding album with first-class songwriting. At first, I was embarrassed to even consider listening to it, but I am now a solid Jordan Knight fan. Best wishes to Jordan and his team! Add it to your collection!Free Music Review: JORDAN IS BACK

I was quite skeptical of this album. I bought Joe McIntyre's and wasn't necessarily pleased. Then with all of the delays that were being put on Jordan's album, I was positive that it was going to be horrible. But I bought it anyway, and I must say "WOW", I haven't had an album to hit me so hard in quite a while. Unlike most artists out there today, Jordan sings every song with so much emotion. It's like you understand what he's going through in each and every song. This album definately touches every genre of music out there today. And does it well. I have never been so proud to have been a New Kids fan as I was on May 25th, 1999. Jordan, I wish you continued success in everything you do. I just hope everyone is open-minded to what you have to say because I truly believe that you deserve to be heard.Free Music Review: I'M GIVING IT 5 STARS!

I didn't go out to get this album rite away when it came out althou' i used to b a huge fan of New Kids (esp. Jordan). But when i heard "I could never take the place of your man" on the local radio i just decided i had to get it. it simply melts me... & i regret i didn't get it earlier cos this CD is jam-packed wiv 11 awesome tracks! If u've heard of "Give it to you" & think it's a good dance track... wit 'til u hear "A Different Party"! it would definitely make everyone get up on their feet & DANCE! But my fave on the album is "Close my eyes"... such a beautiful song... & i saw Jordan at 2 live shows last weekend, he sang live all the way & gave us extra dance routine during "give it to u", omigod what a great performer!Free Music Review: a red hot explosion!!!!

Forget about Ricky Martin or the Backstreet Boys, the CD for the summer is Jordan Knight's solo debut. Starting off with "Give It To You" and "A Different Party" they just make you wanna move (and the 95 South remix of "Give" is absolutely amazing). Jordan and his team came up with some great beats and lyrics and I have to say I listen to this CD all day and night. My favorite song is track 7 "Don't Run"...I just can't get that beat out of my head. Turns out Donnie Whalberg helped out on that song. But the best part of the CD is the track "When You're Lonely" is it me or does it sound like something right off of NKOTB's "Face the Music" CD?!?!!!Overall I think Jordan did an amazing job and his voice has never sounded better!!

All I have to say...is a lot. The fast jam "Give it to you" Opened a lot of eyes - but what kept my eyes on JK is the rest of this debut solo album - These ballads are every bit as bitter sweet and yet better then the ol' Nk's dayz. "Change my ways" and "Close my eyes" (Which has The Delfonic's stylings) among Don't run, Seperate ways, When you're lonely... I can't run off the names of his whole album here - but these are the songs that make this CD Top the rest of my pile. His voice, as always, is beautiful and even though mostly lacking the falsetto we all came to know - makes this mature debut worth the while. I am in love with these grooves. Love. Check it out - not as a NKOTB fan - just as a music connoisseur. My word.
