Good debut for Jordin Sparks . The only thing that is very strange is that she used many genres of music , and it make the album a little confuse . She sings pop (tatoo , no air , shy boy) , rock (permanent monday , now you tell me) and R&B (freeze). There are good songs : freeze , shy boy , one step at a time , but there is bad songs : no air (the worst , if she sang alone it will be better , but Chris Brown... s**t) , god loves ugly . If you like this album try to listen (or download) overcome , that is Jordin Best song , but , for unknown reason , is not on the album.Free Music Review: Smooth and addictive

There is a quality about Jordin's voice that made me a fan from the first time I saw her on AI. It is the same reaction that I had when first listening to Whitney years ago, and Daughtry last year. Pure and unique tones coupled with physical power and charisma is the best way I can describe the comonality between these diverse voices. This albumn has a little something for everyone. My favorites are Freeze, God Loves Ugly, Permanent Monday and Tattoo. They are all winners; the rest of the tracks are good and worthy of inclusion. Bravo to Jordin for a great debut!Free Music Review: What a voice!!!

Wow, I was expecting your typical teeny bopper album when I popped this one in my CD player. Boy was I wrong!!! This girl has chops! My favorite song is "Permanant Monday". She blows the roof off the building with her soaring pipes in this track. I have to keep hitting repeat because the song and the way Jordin sings it is so amazing. I'm a 50 year old woman who loves American Idol but what's more I love it when the show actually produces a talent like Jordin........anybody heard from Reuben Studdard lately?? I have so shocked by this album and I found it to be one that is very refreshing. In a world where most of the music out there is talking about sex Jordin didn't go there. The songs are sweet and fit her image. I would recommend this album to anyone that wants an album that they can listen themselves and also with their own kids.
My favorite track is entitled: Shy boy. She talks about wanting a boy that is shy and not someone that is putting on a front. It is songs like this that will make her an eventual success.

Jordin Sparks is fantastic. Some of the AI haven't produced great CD's but her's is wonderful. My favorite songs are Young and In Love, Permanent Monday, Tattoo, No Air & Now You Tell Me. The CD is unique - it has a family friendly appeal. My entire family was rooting for Jordin from Day One, and we are so pleased with this CD. Her voice is gorgeous, and she's incredibly talented, poised and wholesome. My tween daughter listens to this CD every night at bedtime and sings her songs all day long. Way to go!
