I have to admit that I really didn't enjoy Season 6 of American Idol - In fact, I stopped watching after they got down to the top 8 or something like that. No one really sparked my interest or appealed to me much at all. I didn't even watch the finale, because I didn't care who won. Now, after this year's finale, I decided to listen to Jordin Spark's cd release as I saw it at the library and was in an "Idol" mood. I gave it a try and listened to all of the songs straight through without skipping a single one and even repeated a few here and there. I must say that Jordin really impressed me with her very strong and beautiful voice - for a 17 yr. old she is quite amazing!!
Jordin Sparks' cd is very catchy and perfect for a long car ride or an hour or 2 of cleaning around the house or even working out. Just pop it into your cd player wherever you are and you just might find yourself whisked away into Sparks' world for a little while which is quite a treat. Enjoy this remarkable debut from a talented young woman...

With songs for just about any type of listener r&b, pop whatever you like it's here. Uptempo songs (One Step At A Time, Young and In Love), ballads (No Air w/Chris Brown, Next To You), midtempo songs (Shy Boy, Tattoo).
Its good all around with only one track that i didnt care for aside from that. It's an album that should please her AI fans and folks looking for a little something else as well.

This album is a MESS. Cant the American Idol winners release something of interest? Theres really only 1 good song and thats the duet with Chris Brown. Once again an artist with an amazing voice & because of all the politics involved with making an album and who controls you this ended up being a total disaster. Ughhhh....i wish i could get a refund for this CD!!!!Free Music Review: Good debut

Good debut for Jordin Sparks . The only thing that is very strange is that she used many genres of music , and it make the album a little confuse . She sings pop (tatoo , no air , shy boy) , rock (permanent monday , now you tell me) and R&B (freeze). There are good songs : freeze , shy boy , one step at a time , but there is bad songs : no air (the worst , if she sang alone it will be better , but Chris Brown... s**t) , god loves ugly . If you like this album try to listen (or download) overcome , that is Jordin Best song , but , for unknown reason , is not on the album.
