For Josh Groban fans you won't be disappointed. 20 songs to sing live and it actually keeps you awake during the whole concert. Mixes some fast up beat songs with some slow ones. Great Concert ending with the two most popular songs "You Raise Me Up" and "Awake" as encores. The CD doesnt have much to offer however, but the DVD is defiantly worth checking out. For those of you who doesnt like listening foreign language songs it might not be for you cause he has a couple in there. Me myself used to not like his foreign language songs but it started sounding good to me. I guess its those kind of songs that you have to get used to. BUT this CD/DVD combo is defiantly worth checking out especially if your a Josh Groban fan and for those of you who doesnt know who he is, BUY THIS CD/DVD and you'll know why he is such an Amazing and Talented singer!!Free Music Review: An Affair to Remember.........

It's all about the fans. This DVD is just stunning, can't say enough about it. This is a guy that is just simply having a "love affair" with his fans right now...it was amazing to watch this DVD. If you look closely at the cover, inserts, and just about all he does and says, you can tell they are trying to capture the fans and the moments. At the end of the concert he seemed a little sad, that is what makes his performance of "Awake" just sweeter than sweet..... like he is already feeling empty till he hits the road again...whenever that may be. I came away feeling like he is constantly reaching out, (literally and figuratively) building that bond and awareness...desparately trying to NOT have everything be about HIM.....we shall see. The newly released Awake Live CD/DVD combo is a in a word "fabulous". The blend of Josh's incredible voice with his terrific pop/rock/clasically infuenced band of musicians is just a joy to watch and hear. I don't even know how to answer when someone asks "what type of music does Josh sing?" I just have to answer, great music, pleasing to just about anyone.
In the DVD concert, Josh gives his voice a slight rest and lets the band show off a little, they really take advantage of their 10 minutes in the spotlight. Starting out with Lucia Micarelli's incredible violin solo then the band joins in. It's amazing. Josh is amazing, the band is amazing and the combination of all of them is just incredible. The best music CD and DVD that I have bought in many years. AND what a bargain too...
Free Music Review: Awake for every moment

The last song on the DVD,Awake, is my favorite Josh song of all time, and it always makes me feel warm, cozy and a bit sad to think about the passage of time, and loved ones. This DVD (and the concert tour) is Josh Groban at his best, with his concerns for children, especially African children, at the forefront, and his musicality (musical genius I would say) touching hearts everywhere. Josh is the international artist, a voice for everyone. If you don't know Josh Groban's music, you might want to sample a bit, because I think there is something for everyone, from almost operatic Italian pop to electronica to sweeping ballads. My life changed the first time I heard Josh sing over five years ago and I will happily never be the same.Free Music Review: As good as the actual show!

If you're a Josh Groban fan, this is a must have. Josh's dvd was recorded in Salt Lake City - and I was at that show. They did an amazing job at capturing what the show was really like. I really enjoyed the behind the scenes footage which allows you to get to know Josh a little better. I would have to say that his concert was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. If you ever have a chance to see him live, do it! This dvd is a great representation of the real show. My only complaint is that the cd only had a few of the songs that are featured in the concert- I wish there were more! The price was great, too. I went to Costco the next week and they were selling it for at least 3 or 4 dollars more than Amazon. Great buy!
