Free Music Review: Pop Music Has A New Flavor

Think of Josh as the new flavor of ice cream at Baskin-Robbins that everyone is talking about. You've been dying to try it, but you decide to stick to your favorites. No room for a newbie because you're afraid that you might like it better. Besides, your friends will curse you and spit on your name if you even mention the words, "Tropical Surprise." You're a Mint Chocolate Chip devotee (my favorite). Why would you ever want to try something else, right??? WRONG!!! I'll tell you why:1. Tropical Surprise ain't goin' nowhere anytime soon. There are now unofficially 32 flavors. This flavor already has Tenure.
2. Mint Chocolate Chip won't mind. They can never keep up with the demand anyways.
3. If you like Tropical Surprise, you can look like a genius with your friends because you discovered a new and revolutionary flavor. They'll worship you forever.
4. One scoop of Tropical Surprise will never be enough. Addiction is inevitable, and you'll enjoy every last spoonful.
5. Ice cream has never tasted this good. The secret formula is guarded more heavily than Coke's.
6. Tropical Surprise is a modern-day miracle. The Gods have truly blessed us this time.
7. Well, seven is the day of rest. So, you get to spend all day enjoying it.
Okay, yes, this interpretation is a little wacky. But I though I would take a different approach. Hope you enjoyed it. I love Josh's new CD and this is the only way I know how to express my true feelings. Sorry if the review purists are offended.
Free Music Review: AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE 5 Stars
I was wondering how Josh could possibly top his debut album, but HE HAS DONE IT!! Closer is stunning!! I have been playing this non-stop since I got it-- the day it came out. There is only one song that I would have left off the album: 'When You Say You Love Me'. For some reason, that song does nothing for me. ALL of the other tracks are wonderful, especially Mi Mancherai and Per Te. Mi Mancherai is the FIRST MUSICAL PIECE EVER to bring me to tears! The combination of Josh's voice and the brilliant violin work of Joshua Bell is BEAUTY BEYOND WORDS!! Also the diversity of this CD is amazing: Everything from an "Irish gospel" sound (You Raise Me Up) to a song that sounds like something Sting would sing (Never Let Go). I hope Josh writes more songs for his next album, because the three songs on Closer that he co-wrote are outstanding ('Per Te', 'Remember When it Rained', and 'Never Let Go').I would like to clear up something that another reviewer said. The internet version of Closer (that contains 'My December') is NOT available 'only to Grobanites'. ANYONE can order this version by going to JoshGroban.com. It's just not available in stores. I would also HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Limited Edition of Closer (available here at amazon)--the extra cost IS DEFINITELY worth it! The DVD is outstanding, and the track 'Mi Morena' is worth the extra cost alone! Gorgeous! It is unfortunate that this track was not included in the regular version of Closer.

Free Music Review: Who Cares About Dimitri??? - I DON'T!!!!

Josh is such an extraordinary talent and deserves more than what some of the reviewers are offering. I went and bought his debut CD yesterday. So now I have both his self-titled album and "Closer." I can really hear how much he has grown as an artist. It's quite impressive. I regret not buying the first album sooner. But if I had, I never would have listened to anyone else. I recall gazing upon it at Best Buy after the Winter Olympics. How foolish I was. I played the clip of "Alla Luce Del Sole" from Amazon.com yesterday and I almost melted. I said to myself, "Girl, you better run out and get this." So I did. Now, I'm ruined forever.
"Closer" will undeniably get you hooked on this artist. From the moment you hear "Oceano" you will be swept away. His voice takes you on an emotional ride that draws you closer upon each listen. Everything he sings resonates so deeply.
Don't wait like I did. It took me two years to fall for Josh Groban. Way too long. You don't want to end up hoping and wishing that you had witnessed this talent earlier. Buy "Closer" and "Josh Groban" while you can still get your hands on them.

Free Music Review: Josh Groban-the ideal vocalist.

What can I say? This title SHINES. Josh Groban is one of the best vocalists of this generation-and his voice easily blows away many of his contemporaries. Despite the fact that my CD collection doesn't contain many CDs like this one, I still find myself popping it in my CD player more frequently than all the rest. It's a great easy listening CD, even if you can't necessarily understand all the lyrics in his foreign language songs.
I purchased this CD having already purchased his previous CD and LOVED it. This CD followed suit and didn't disappoint. Many of my favorites can be found in the middle of this CD including 'Per Te', 'Il Postino (Mi Mancherai)', 'Si Volvieras A Mi', and 'My Confession'. Those being my favorites, I still have a likeness for the rest of the songs. None of them are horrible-and despite average melodies on occasion, Josh's voice shines. The only reason I wouldn't recommend this CD is if you don't enjoy CDs that rely heavily on outstanding vocals, often in other languages.
To make a long story short, personally I don't have anything but compliments for this CD and the artist. I'd recommend both to anyone and 14 bucks is really a small price to pay for music of this quality. But my review wouldn't be complete without suggesting, as I do in all of my other reviews, to listen to amazon's samples because to purchase a CD based heavily on reviews by other INDIVIDUALS (and I stress individuals), is a fairly big gamble.
Free Music Review: Most MAGNIFICENT VOICE to come along in DECADES!!!

To all you folks out there who think that Josh is a star now because of his 'good looks', you obviously haven't even LISTENED to his CD's. Closer is STUNNING. His voice is the most beautiful thing I have heard in 30 years of listening to music!! I first heard his voice on my car radio and I was so stunned that I almost ran off the road!! I BOUGHT HIS CD BEFORE I KNEW WHAT HE LOOKED LIKE or knew ANYTHING about him. Since that time I have become a huge fan because he's also a wonderful human being: kind, humble, generous, funny, and dedicated to his family, friends, fans, and profession.And one more thing--to all you rap, hard rock, and classical music fans who come here and review this CD and give it one star and say Josh has no talent: if you don't like Josh's kind of music, then WHY are you coming here dissing it?? Why don't you critique CD's in YOUR world?? I would never consider reviewing a rap CD, because I would give ALL rap CD's one star--I simply don't like that kind of music. To come here and do that to Josh's CD is just plain hatefulness!! And note to classical music folks: this is NOT a classical album, it has NO classical songs on it, and Josh himself says he DOES NOT sing classical music. So stop comparing him to classical vocalists, etc.
So, in summary, Closer is just a CD filled with beautiful love songs in different languages (half in English), and if you like that kind of music, you WILL NOT be disappointed in this CD!!!!
