I am very happy with the Christmas CD. I have been waiting for this for so long and I feel Josh Groban and David Foster did an excellent job. Ava Maria is beautifully done and It Came Upon Midnight Clear give me chills! I wasn't thrilled with the duet between Josh and Faith Hill. I just felt Faith's voice didn't complement Josh's in the song and the choir on top of it all made the song seem a little overdone.
Overall I really love this CD though because it has the classical feel that Josh's music has had in the past and that he got away from in Awake. This CD really brings out his deep rich voice and the songs are traditional but refreshing. This will definitely be my favorite Christmas Cd!

This is one of the most beautiful Christmas albums I have ever owned. In particular, Josh's "I'll be home for Christmas" had me sheading tears for the beauty of the peice. The beauty was not only because of the meaning of the song and Josh's beautiful rendition of a classic but the power behind the messages from our members of the armed forces serving our country overseas. I could not help but think of my own children and what it would be like to be so far away during such a special holiday. I would not want to miss Christmas morning when my daughters were opening ther christmas presents or Christmas dinner with all of my family.
Thank you Josh for such a wonderful gift of music.

I slipped this CD into my car stereo today and was overwhelmed by Josh's powerful yet tender voice. The voice overs from US soldiers serving in Iraq on "I'll be Home for Christmas" touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. It makes me think of the families that sacrifice so much so we can have our freedom.
The new song "Thankful" has such a touching message reminding us to be grateful for all of our blessings. Every amazing song is a jewel! I especially love "O Come All Ye Faithful, "Ave Maria" and "Angels We Have Heard on High", "Drummer Boy", - well - ALL of them!!
I've waited YEARS for this Chirstmas CD and it was worth every minute to get such a treasure!

Josh's voice is truly a gift from God. His voice packs a punch, can send chills down your spine, and then his voice can become tender as a baby's. His voice exudes passion one moment, and then heavenly serenity the next. His emotional range (for being so relatively young) is amazing. This CD is a must have for the holiday season. This will definitely put you in the Christmas mood.

I rated this CD 5 stars because I could never give Josh anything less then 100 as I just love him, his voice and the songs on this CD!
My only hang up is why did they have to have Brian Mcknight and Faith Hill sing with him? I was so shocked to hear Brian Mcknight's voice next to Josh's that I skipped the song! And Faith Hill sounds like a dying cat next to Josh's pristine voice. (At least that was my initial thought) I'm not bashing Faith as I own and love one of her CDs. Just please... Not next to Josh... I wish the producers wouldn't try to give these "trying to relive the glory days" artists new life by lumping them with someone at the peak of his career.
