I had planned to see this film when it was showing in the theater but missed it. Only knew that Judy Dench was in it. The film was full of pleasant surprises. The story, the music, the acting (everyone)the fact that Dance was the director and Joshua Bell was the violinist. Violin playing doesn't come any better than Joshua Bell, and it was his music which provided wonder to this lovely story. His virtuosity and sensitivity are both apparent, and is NOT just "background movie music" but can stand beautifully as a separate album. His "Meditation" rivals the best!
