Free Music Notes for Ladies in Lavender [Original Motion Picture Soundtrack]Free Music Review: Ladies in Lavender Hit: 5 Stars
I had planned to see this film when it was showing in the theater but missed it. Only knew that Judy Dench was in it. The film was full of pleasant surprises. The story, the music, the acting (everyone)the fact that Dance was the director and Joshua Bell was the violinist. I listen to the music all the time and plan to see the movie again.
Free Music Review: Craggy Cornwall Hit: 5 Stars
The uneven, craggy beaches of Cornwall serves as the setting for "Ladies in Lavender." The lush music of Nigel Hess underscores the full sweetness of the dramatic story, and the use of Joshua Bell's violin adds an amazing touch to the rendering of the story. I loved the movie, and I love this soundtrack. You will too.
Free Music Review: The Pinnacle Hit: 5 Stars
The soundtrack of 'Ladies in Lavender' would be, without doubt, one of the most beautiful scores I have listened to. The melodies composed by Nigel Hess are so sensitive and hauntingly lovely and when coupled with the interpretive mastery of Joshua Bell's violin playing, this CD is a must for every music lover.
Free Music Review: Mesmerizing Music Hit: 5 Stars
This music enhances a delightful story, but also stands alone as a wonderful, entrancing CD. The more I listen to it, the more I enjoy it - Joshua Bell brings out the best in Nigel Hess' compositions along with the classic pieces woven throughout the movie. It was wonderful to hear the complete arrangements.
Free Music Review: Lovely music for our Ladies in Lavender Hit: 5 Stars
Violin playing doesn't come any better than Joshua Bell, and it was his music which provided wonder to this lovely story. His virtuosity and sensitivity are both apparent, and is NOT just "background movie music" but can stand beautifully as a separate album. His "Meditation" rivals the best!
