I do not like 95% of all musicles. This one however is something of pure genius. The music is fantastic and the lyrics are amazing however it is the way the story and songs come together that make this musical shine.
I first saw this online in multiple parts and loved it, now that I have the DVD the picture is absolutely amazing along with the fidelity of the music!
This one is for turning up loud, you will be singing the songs, each one will grow on you the more times you watch it. Best part is, it is so good that you will want to watch it over and over.
The extras on the DVD are hilarious and the behind the scenes make you wish you could be in the sequal!

I, too, am a fan of Joss Whedon's worlds (Buffy, Angel, Firefly, etc.). I absolutely loved Buffy's "Once More With Feeling"! Dr. Horrible took this to another level... Dare I say I loved this soundtrack more than "Once More?" Yes! The songs were great, and the timing and choreography were perfect. I absolutely can't get the songs out of my head. This soundtrack lets me relive the horribleness all over again. I've heard people complain about the amount of music you get for the buck. However, if you're reading this, you know you want it. I've paid more and received less. This is the real deal and totally worth it. Thanks Amazon for making my world that much more "Horrible!"Free Music Review: Horrible get you in the end!

Frankly, the name originally chased me off. But recently listening to a interview with Joss Whedon talking about Dr. Horrible I had to check it out. It was amusing at first and I even stated to lose interest until about halfway through I was suddenly hooked. Over the next few days I kept thinking about Dr. Horrible and that it was very clever and pure entertainment... Even art. As with the Firefly TV series, I enjoyed it more when I re-watched it... Twice! Dr. Horrible has all the makings of a strange musical cult classic not seen since Rocky Horror Picture show. I hope that eventually the Whedons find teh time to make a sequel!

Like many TV watchers out there I was extremely disappointed last year during the writers' strike when so many of our favorite TV shows went off the air for nearly an entire season. However, when I found Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog it all became worth it. This is one of the best internet shows ever created and had me hooked from the first song. I went out immediately and bought the DVD when it was released and soon found myself longing for the music on my iPod. Now I can sing along with my favorite evil villain of all time. Joss Whedon did it again. He wrote another great, artistic and thoughtful show. For those of you familiar with Once More, With Feeling, the musical episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, this show's music is somewhat reminiscent of it, although it does have a new style to it also. The music and lyrics and well-written and executed, especially on My Eyes and Penny's Song, and the melodies will run through your head long afterwards. Cheers to Whedon for another great work!
