I first heard of Joy Division when I saw love will tear us apart on a video compilation I considered myself a casual fan I thought about buying JD back catalogue one by one but when I saw this I thought WOW!! I can buy it all right here (sans a few missing songs and maybe live shows) This is the ultimate tribute to Ian Curtis nobody's music collection should be without it. The music is dark when you compare it with New order but Joy division are/were better in every aspect. This box set is worth shelling the dosh out for.Free Music Review: Absolute perfection!!!

Ok, chances are that if you're reading this, you already know who Joy Division is. So I won't bore you with the usual stuff. This album is the most perfect album I've ever bought in my ...life!!! I bought the import version in the spring of 1998, and I'm still listening to it now and still finding new things about it. The beauty of this music is that it's timeless and it doesn't grow old. As the back of this boxset says, "With few exceptions, everything Joy Division recorded and released is contained here". The only other recording I can recommend in addition to this would be the live Amsterdam recording. Passover, Day of the Lords, and New Dawn Fades all sound much different and more majestic done live than the studio recordings. Worth every penny.Free Music Review: Excellent box set!

Perfect. They sequenced Joy Division's music in chronological order. After getting Unknown Pleasures and knowing the order of songs it felt great to hear them presented in their exact order. If you have some Joy Division and like it, and just want to go for the Gold and just buy everything, get this box set! This is a good back up for any fan who has everything. Discs 1-3 has everything from Unknown Pleasures, Closer, Substance, Still and every demo inbetween that could be found. Disc 4 is collection of unreleased live tracks, which are probably some of the best live version ever done IMHO.
