Fronted by the gorgeous Tara Sloan -a sophisticated rock heroine with one of the sexiest voices in music today; deep and dirty like Shirley, true, but vulnerable and sweet like girl-next-door Natalie Imbruglia. Great lyrics that cover break-ups and relationships gone wrong -written with acute, emotional awareness and clear analysis by the male band members Tony Rabalao, Thomas Payne and Tom Mckay, but sung with a strong heart and a female spin by Tara; an interesting set up. Sober lyrics like "And you were at the start/ And now you are the end/ And you left me with nothing to defend/ I need the voice of a good friend" -from the powerful "Sometimes Wanna Die"- provide a rare insight into the male mind & inner workings. Tara's own "American Dreamgirl" -in which she spits out the lyrics like the lead singer in Placebo- is the sole, true Girl Power anthem on the album. A sparkling rock track and the ultimate male put down: "Hey Mister Music/ My name's not honey/ Don't call me dear/ My eyes are up here".

Every track is brilliant but other stand out anthems to soothe and strengthen the broken heart include "Thick skin", "Swan Song" and the ballad "Embrace". The rollercoaster title track "Viberate" is a great moment; a mish-mash medley of sounds and influences. The closing, tender "Metasexual" is a totally cool reference to their first record and leaves you begging for more. I urge you to hear this beautiful record and dare you to love it like I do! A truly under-rated masterpiece.
