Free Music Notes for Mi SangreFree Music Review: appreciate it Hit: 5 Starsthis is the arguably the best juanes album out yet. it is a mixture of old and new. he sings about politics in "Suenos" which is my favorite song and "Que Pasa" while showing love for his daughter in "Tu Guardian" In a world where reggaeton dominates the latin music scene this is a good change of pace and is easy for every one to enjoy. But i must admit when i first heard it i was sceptical but then i went to his concert in Atlantic city and the CD became the greatest thing i own
Free Music Review: Excellent! Hit: 5 StarsI first heard Jaunes in my Spanish class. My teacher has us listen to different artists in order to be better exposed to the culture. When I heard Sue?os it was stuck in my head for a week, and after we translated through the lyrics I loved it even more.
When I bought the cd last week I couldn't stop listening to it. The beat just makes me want to dance. The lyrics are captivating and will have you unknowingly start singign. I was singing Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor this morning and friends of mine started looking at me strangely, which was when I realized I was singing.
I'm new to listening to Latin music, but I haven't regretted it. Despite what some reviewers may say, this cd is defiantely worth the buy.
Free Music Review: Rehashed Pop Drivel Hit: 1 StarsThis CD makes me want to encourage piracy. Honestly, it's terrible. Like many reviewers, I believe the previous CD was edgier and certainly more original.
The first half of the CD is Juanes' pathetic attempt to emulate Cafe Tacuba's wonderfully high-pitched carnivalesque melodies. The second half of the CD is love-pop trash that never rises above even U2's most blandest ballads. I won't even get started on the TERRIBLE political song which features naive and soulless lyrics such as:
"Why is the world the way it is/
So much war/So much war/
Why is the world the place it is?"
Stay away from this if you respect his work. Show him that it's his DUTY as a musician to REINVENT himself.
Free Music Review: music paradise!!! Hit: 5 StarsI've been listening Juanes for a while and when I saw his last CD in the store, I bought it with a lot of expectations. My first impression was... this is not like "Un Dia Normal" which I used to hear frequently. I was right.. this is not like Un Dia Normal nor like other CD, is so fresh, the lyrics are awesome and the music just make me feel alive. Every song has a message, but I think that number 11 is one of the songs with more heart in the CD. That's the reality of the soldier, the men in love, the fear of the jungle, the fear of solitud... is amazing the message of this song. If you like latino music and want to hear something that is gonna make you feel alive, buy this CD, you won't regret it. My advice is try to look for the lyrics translation, since as I said before most of the songs has a real content, beyond the traditional. Enjoy it !!!
