Having been a Judas Priest fan for a long time, I can say that this album is not the usual Priest. However, I can also say that it's the best I've ever heard! It is truly a masterpiece on so many levels. Unlike the usual Priest, best listened to on a fast drive or a hard run, 'Nostradamus' is best appreciated at high volume in a dark, candlelit room. Intelligent, dark, and thoughtful, this work combines great instrumental performances, Halford's amazing vocal ability, and a well-researched interpretation of the life of a compelling historical figure. This is a great record! I love it. It's got some great guitar, keyboards and excellent singing! How could one NOT like it! A lot of the tunes are "build up" tunes where the guitars kick in and then the singing. I love the lyrics which are kind of a mix between Iced Earth and Manowar! Halford still has the pipes as does many a metal singer from his age group such as Dio. So, will they play this entire record on TOUR? Who knows. All I know is that KK is great and Glen is doing some Yngwie type stuff on several solos!Free Music Review: Nostradamus ROCKS!!!!!!

Anyone who didn't like Judas Priest's Nostradamus doesn't appreciate a metal masters' foray into a different approach. Yes, Nostradamus is decidedly different from almost anything they have done in the past, but they did just as great a job on this as they have on the greatest of their classic albums. It is a masterful accomplishment of an original metal god. Nostradamus needs to be listened to with an OPEN mind, not an expectation of the same ol', same ol'.

This album is the ultimate Metal opera. Anyone who can remember concept albums and has the desire to listen to the recording all the way through will be rewarded. Those who only like fast easy same ole same ole will not like this. Too bad the world has gotten so fast paced that there are people out there who can not enjoy this music because it takes too much time.
The Priest have always pushed the borders and with each effort they have changed the concept of what is Metal.

My biggest complaint against Ozzy & Tony is "No new material".

When Zep released STAIRWAY on IV it took 2 years to grow, the same is here except FM is already invented. There is everything for Priest fans, twin guitars from Sad Wings, it has everything from the past. Buy it, it is the future! A self fulfilling prophesy?
