Free Music Review: An actress and a musician or is it a musician and an actress

I love Ms. Delpy's CD. It has some beautiful movements- a sarcastic, sexy, yet good person-seeming tone, humble and daring. I have excellent taste and I enjoy listening to every song. There is a mostly acoustic guitar makeup with light backing. A little Portishead-ish but in an upbeat lovingness. It rocks in a couple surprising colors, and at other points brings the listener along fairly gently with a mature, unfrustrated European vibe. The feeling of listening to an actress dissipated after a song or two. I am a bit unsure of her sexual morals: she lyricizes pretty active, somewhat promiscuous-sounding declarations, but she doesn't make sex bad or turn me off to her music or self with it. It doesn't push or sell one down the wrong path, and I get something independently-enough mature, questfully, peacefully sexy, and enlivening from the overall presentation. Well, I don't know what Julie Delpy's opinions on Sade or Bataille or any of those other pillars of French Culture necessarily have to do with this album. And, being the devout libertarian that I am, what somebody likes to do with an egg in the privacy of their own home is entirely their own business. Whatever floats your boat. All I can say is I really *do* enjoy this album -- and after having listened to it many, many times, I'm convinced that the lovely Miss Delpy will murder someone within five years. In bed. With a knife, or perhaps an ice pick. Now if the Beach Boys'd pinch one of her songs, it'd be absolute perfection! As for our francophone reviewers who have forsaken amazon.fr to cross the ocean and hang out on the American amazon.com instead: I don't blame you. An amazing debut from a fantastic actress. I have always enjoyed just listening to her speak, so I was thrilled when I heard her songs on Before Sunset. Je T'aime Tant is easily my favorite, but all are wonderful. She has this very jazzy, flowy voice that is relaxed and incredibly sultry and sexy at the same time. Anyone who says her voice isn't good is insane, because she has an undeniably good singing voice. I understand if the type of music isnt your thing, but there is no denying the smokey, sultry voice she has. The songs are beautiful while also being melancholy or tragic, and Ocean Apart is achingly truthful, and something I am sure everyone has been through. This is one of my favorite cds now, and she one of my favorite all around artists.Free Music Review: I like ER8. so, enjoyed this "Sons" cd album.

By the way, ?v?n?vIJULiE DELPY's cdI I bought it in (in or from, at, with, on, by, ... I do not understand to do on www net, help meI) AMAZON Fr. web preorder. I am just only 38 years old. Aged, pick ups, parties, cars, ... (Sit, am I lady of Ulysses ?, over nature ?, general electronics ?, it is so what ? ...) Songs bring to make me feel "La belle unique". Her simple and deep voices with acoustic and electric guitars, with hammer beating, with emortion, and with much more about. This cd is in my best three cds of 2003 year. It is a Great. Maybe it's just sentimentality. After all, some of these songs remind me of the times when my ex-girlfriend would get drunk and leave vaguely threatening messages on my answering machine. But at least she loved me, damnit. That some people seem to hate it soooo much just makes me like it even more. Perhaps it's not everybody's cup of tea, but there's always eBay, y'know. So just put it behind you and get on with your lives, people.If y'all want to exile her to the United States, it's fine by me. You pack her up and I'll pay for the postage. Tempest-tost wreched refuse of your teeming shore and all that. Besides, we'll need a new Governor once Arnold gets term-limited out.
