Free Music Notes for CrossFree Music Review: This is Not Daft Punk. It's Never Going to be Daft Punk. Hit: 4 StarsIn listening to Justice's album 'Cross' one gets the distinct, almost inescapable, sense that this band really, really, really wants to be Daft Punk. Sadly, the only people that can pull that off are already walkin' around with goofy helmets and hanging out with Kanye West. That being said, this is a really good album. There's a lot of creativity and talent that comes across in 'Cross'. A great 'discovery' for anyone with that 7 year itch.
Free Music Review: Frenchmen Make Great Dance Albums...Now For People Who Don't Even Dance! Hit: 5 StarsI've come across same people slamming this CD on the grounds that it's a dance album for dorks who (1) can't dance to save the lives a bagful of adorable kittens, and (2) don't like to listen to dance music, partly because it reminds them of their tragic handicap. There's an essay about the album in this year's Village Voice Pazz and Jop poll that sums up this argument. To which I say: yeah, sure, and what's so wrong with that? It's a dance album for the geeky toe-thumpers amongst us -- those nerdy enough to smile in goofy glee when they recognize the music from Dario Argento movies being sampled, or who like to lay back and imagine it as the soundtrack to the coolest Night of the Living Dead sequel yet. It's as stupid and fun as early Iron Maiden or AC/DC, only even better.
Free Music Review: And god said "this album shall not suck" Hit: 4 Starsi know, i know, you're thinking: christian music != suck, that's impossible. but apparently god let this one slip by.
Free Music Review: Good album! FYI, "Phantom I" is almost entirely a "Goblin" song Hit: 4 StarsWow... I was listening to this for this for the first time, and was astonished when "Phantom I" came on... it's the theme song for the movie "Tenebre", a late 70s italian horror thriller by Dario Argento, composed and performed by "Goblin".
Justice added a bit more dance to it, but it's mostly the same as it was. Cool!

Free Music Review: Great Music Hit: 4 StarsA great cd. I'm not all that knowledgable when it comes to dance music but I really enjoyed this album. I find this french duo to be very refreshing. I absolutely love track number 8 The Party featuring Uffie. It's a really upbeat song that makes me want to sing and dance without restraint. The opening track is also worth mentioning. It really helps set the mood for the rest of the cd. It's full of music that makes you want to party and have fun. I recommend it to anyone who loves fun music as well as anyone who just wants to party.
