Free Music Review: sounds better on vinyl
Hit: 4 Stars

Got introduced to justice when i got introduced to the song Street Justice by MSTRKRFT. At first, i listened to their cd at hmv but i thought it sounded childish & amateurish. I forgot about it until I listened to boys noize.

I thought BN was a more professional in production & sound. After seeing BN in concert w/ mstrkrft where mstrkrft was very girly-man
house sounding, BN just powered through the crowd where 90% couldn't dance to bec they onlyknow girly-man house music. I had a blast. I think boys noize is phenomenal & it brought me to liking justice style of music.

justice, esp on their remixes, like to use distortion guitar/funk-based bass playing. Interestingly, when I listen to Chemical Bros' s songs, "in dust we trust" & "dig your own hole", i feel that I can hear justice. In addition, Chem bros' "these beats are made for breakin" & Daft Punk's "harder, faster breaker beat remix" are being recycled by Justice, boys noize, sebastiAn,surkin. It's interesting that Chem bros has lost its way & Justice is continuing their pioneering sound from their first 2 albums.
Prodigy's always outnumbered but never outgunned album is also being recycled by buzz-synth DJs which was ahead of its time.

When I first heard Justice cd, stress was my favorite track. I didn't like "dance" at all & i think mstrkrft's version is the best. Boys Noize remix of phantom totally rocks as well.

I got the album on vinyl & i think it sounds more "alive" than on CD. Songs like NewJack, let there be light, Stress & waters of nazareth totally rocks. I esp like the guy exhaling on "waters of nazareth".

When I saw their live clips, I see them trying to recreate 80s metal stage sets.

Free Music Review: Optimus Prime has gas!
Hit: 4 Stars

I got this CD on the strength of "D.A.N.C.E." which to me, sounds like a 70s children's show has dipped it's chocolate into Jamiroquai's peanut butter (That's a compliment and a half as I think Jamiroquai's the bestest band evah!) Never heard any of Justice's other stuff. Played the CD all the way through and the songs that immediately caught me, in addition to "D.A.N.C.E.", are "DVNO" and "Phantom Pt. II" When I first heard "D.A.N.C.E.", I thought I'd found my new Bassment Jaxx. Nope. I can sit and listen to a Jaxx CD all the way through and love it all. Unfortunately, not so with this CD as of this writing. I'll give it another listen this weekend. While I can't help but compare Justice to the Jaxx, here's another comparison. With a Jaxx CD, not all of the songs sound so much alike a some of their songs sound like they could be from different albums and different artists. I can sum Cross up in one sentence: Optimus Prime with gas. I was going to give this CD three stars. But because they're French and because "D.A.N.C.E." is a banger, I'll give it four.

Free Music Review: Very good.
Hit: 4 Stars

This album is very good with that French electro sound. If you like Daft Punk and parties, you might like this album. The opening notes say it all.

Great (not just good) tracks:

Phantom
Genesis
DVNO
Stress
One Minute to Midnight

The rest of the tracks are all good, except 'The Party'. This track (featuring Uffie) is terrible because she has no talent and basically sing-talks over a quiet Justice track. Either a) the Justice guys mistakenly convinced themselves she's good or b) there was pressure from the record label to put her on a track (Uffie and Justice are both on Ed Banger records).

Free Music Review: Great Music
Hit: 4 Stars

A great cd. I'm not all that knowledgable when it comes to dance music but I really enjoyed this album. I find this french duo to be very refreshing. I absolutely love track number 8 The Party featuring Uffie. It's a really upbeat song that makes me want to sing and dance without restraint. The opening track is also worth mentioning. It really helps set the mood for the rest of the cd. It's full of music that makes you want to party and have fun. I recommend it to anyone who loves fun music as well as anyone who just wants to party.

Free Music Review: Good album! FYI, "Phantom I" is almost entirely a "Goblin" song
Hit: 4 Stars

Wow... I was listening to this for this for the first time, and was astonished when "Phantom I" came on... it's the theme song for the movie "Tenebre", a late 70s italian horror thriller by Dario Argento, composed and performed by "Goblin".

Justice added a bit more dance to it, but it's mostly the same as it was. Cool!
