Free Music Review: JUSTIN "UNLEASHED"
Hit: 5 Stars

After almost a year after American Idol's first season, Justin Guarini FINALLY finds his own voice. Let me tell you, it is well worth the wait. Whether or not you ever watched American Idol, you will be pleasantly surprised with Justin Guarini's first effort. He takes flight. This CD is absolutely amazing. It's impossible to pick a favorite because all the tracks are great! Justin has a smooth, silky, sensual, distinctive voice that just melts like butter. This CD has a great R&B flavor.

Justin showcases his versatility on this CD, yet retains his "Justin" touch. These tracks allow Justin to showcase his incredible voice. He does most of his own background vocals. Justin draws you in with his hypnotic voice. "Sorry" is deliciously original. Very interesting background beat, great intro, nice "mood building" throughout the song...Great bridge. I NEVER get tired on this song! Also, love the "message". This will be released as Justin's first top 40 single...Very appropriate...Sexy and different.

On "One Heart too Many", Justin experiments with the Latin flavor. Very sensual. Nice rhythm. Catchy beat and lyrics. Wonderful. Justin has that "vulnerability" prevalent in the popular Latin artists. Very danceable tune and yet, you don't ever lose the "essence" behind the song.

"I Saw Your Face" is SO sensual. Love the studio effect (echo). So effective! Nice sultry background beat. Great R&B vibe.

Both "Be a Heartbreaker" and "How Will I Know" are so romantic. His voice is so silky, smooth and haunting. You just melt listening to these two songs. Wow! A guy who knows exactly what women want to hear! To summarize, those two tracks are perfect for serenading your girl. Guys, take note!

His two cover tracks, "Get Here" and "Unchained Melody" are quite beautiful...Of course, if you love Justin's voice and his "sensitivity", you will treasure these two tracks. This version of "Get Here" This version is very low-key, very soulful. The arrangement is absolutely beautiful. "Unchained Melody" is a treasure. Justin gives us a subtle, beautiful interpretation. A "new" version of a beautiful "classic." Justin tackles this one very well. His "harmonizing" is absolutely breathtaking. Very soothing. It draws you in...Has a "floating" quality. Mesmerizing!

His "Inner Child" can simply be defined as fun and joyful. It's a taste of absolute freedom. It may not quite "fit" with the style of some of the other tracks, but he does give it his "Justin touch". Love the energy and optimism in this one! His vocals sound GREAT!

Some surprises are "Condition of my Heart" and "Doin things we're not supposed to." "Condition of my Heart" is absolutely beautiful. Here, Justin exposes himself--shows vulnerability. Quite moving. "Doin' things" has a nice sensual beat and sensual lyrics. Justin at his best.

"If You Wanna" has a nice funky beat. Definitely potential hit! Amazing! I'm sure this would make a fun video--Justin can showcase his dance moves. Wade Robson, Justin and Carol Bayer-Sayer collaborated on this one. "Thinking of you" has a nice vibe as well. It was interesting to see Justin Timberlake's name in the writing credits of this one.

The full version of "Timeless", his duet with Kelly Clarkson, is quite beautiful. The arrangement has good quality.

Justin Guarini is definitely an "original." You will enjoy this entire CD. There's not one weak track! Justin Guarini has quite a future ahead of him! It's amazing to see that a reality show could introduce us to such an incredible, versatile talent. I'm looking forward to following him throughout his career.

Free Music Review: Justin Guarini's Self-Entitled Debut CD is Awesome!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been a fan since the first moment I saw him audition on the first season of American Idol, a year ago. It was not Justin's handsome face nor his now famous & fabulous hair that first grabbed my attention, but rather it was his voice, that silky, soulful voice that blew me away!
Needless to say, I expected a great CD from Justin, but his long awaited self-entitled debut CD has exceeded my expectations! It hit stores June 10th & delivers an eclectic mix of musical genres, from R&B to love ballads destined for mass appeal!
"Be A Heartbreaker" has a Hip-Hop undertone to it, and the tempo of the album slows down just a bit to show yet another side of Guarini's vocals. "Sorry"(Justin's new single) is the closest that Justin ever gets to rock and it truly 'rocks'! The track does have a thumping drum and synthesizer back to it that calls for your attention - but it never takes away from the vocals, rich and textured. "Inner Child" is a' feel good song', Justin calls "wacky" that nicely displays the elasticity of his vocal chords, I love its upbeat tempo, makes you wanna shake your bon bon!
Brian McKnight also penned a song, "Condition of My Heart," which Guarini described as "the most vulnerable ballad on there." Babyface and the Underdogs produced that track and about half of the album, while Lester Mendez (Shakira), Steve Mac (Nick Carter) and Damon Sharpe (Kelly Rowland) also contributed. "Babyface and the Underdogs really are the meat and potatoes of what we're doing on this album, the soulful, R&B, hip stuff," Guarini said. "Kenny ['Babyface' Edmunds] is just so amazing with his melodies and his lyrics, and I would say they got the best vocals out of me on this album." And showcasing his pipes was the former a cappella singer's top goal.
Clive Davis, the producer of this album (and the "creator" of such stars like Whitney Houston, among others) pulled together a massive creative team for this album, and it shows!
He's releasing the track "Sorry" to MTV and pop radio, and his version of "Unchained Melody" to R&B and adult contemporary stations. Justin has made a truly solid album full of excellent ballads and mid-tempo head-nodders.
There hasn't been any album that I can say that I liked/loved every song on the album - and then Justin saved the day. This is the best album I've ever heard in years, most definitely!!!
Well-produced, well-arranged - everything about it falls perfectly in place and for that, he gets my nod and five stars!.To sum it up, you will love this CD, and as Smokey Robinson would say, 'in my hood, the boy can sang'!

Free Music Review: Sexy, sensual, romantic and fun
Hit: 5 Stars

R&B music has become too sexualized these days, with lyrics that I'd be embarrassed to listen to in front of other people. Justin Guarini's album is a great throwback to the days when R&B was sexy without being nasty. I also like how there are no guest rappers on the album. I'm tired of so many R&B artists using rappers in their songs. It's fine every once in a while, but it's become too overdone and I like to listen to a song without having it interrupted by a rap. If you love good R&B music, or just good music in general, buy this album!

"One Heart Too Many"- An extremely romantic song! The Latin-style music is just gorgeous. The perfect way to start the album!

"I Saw Your Face"- A wonderful, sexy R&B song! This should be a hit if its released to radio.

"Be A Heartbreaker"- Another great R&B song! It has a great message that you should never settle for less when it comes to love.

"Unchained Melody"- This song has been covered so many times, but Justin does a great job with it.

"Sorry"- A funky, different kind of R&B song. Its the kind of song that gets stuck in your head after a few listens. An excellent choice as the first single.

"How Will You Know"- A very sweet ballad that has an acoustic feel to it.

"Inner Child"- The most pop song on the album. Its very up-tempo and different from anything Ive ever heard. A very fun song.

"Condition of My Heart"- The most beautiful ballad on the album. Its one of those heartbreakingly lovely songs. A classic.

"Doin Things (Were Not Supposed To)"- A sexy song that shows a different side of Justin. Its sensual without being raunchy.

"If You Wanna"- The most up-tempo song on the album. It has a gritty sound to it. It's fun to listen to if you're not in the mood for a ballad.

"Thinking of You"- A great mid-tempo R&B song. It has a sweet message of a guy wanting to take the girl he loves away from her fears.

"Get Here"- When I first heard that this would be on Justins album, I thought it was a bad idea since this was his trademark song on American Idol and it was already on the American Idol Greatest Moments album. But after hearing the new version, Im so glad its on here! This version is a hundred times better than the one on the AI album! The music is more beautiful and the song has much better production than on the AI album.

"Timeless"- A simply gorgeous duet with Kelly Clarkson! It's one of the best duets Ive ever heard. This could become a classic. It's not R&B, but pop/adult contemporary, but it's still fantastic nonetheless.

Free Music Review: JUSTIN GUARINI'S Debut CD IS Just AWESOME!
Hit: 5 Stars

I am a big fan of Justin Guarini and purchased 2 of his CD's this week. I have been a Justin fan since the first time he sang "Get Here" on the first American Idol, so I expected a great CD from Justin, but his self-entitled debut CD has exceeded my expectations!

"One Heart Too Many" begins the musical voyage and it's definitely one of my favorites. The spotlight is on Justin and only Justin, although the music is a beautiful accompaniment. He has one of those voices that makes it sound like singing is effortless and so it never feels like he's trying too hard. This CD showcases his amazing vocal range and soulful style. "I Saw Your Face" makes me smile because it sounds like Justin is right at home with R&B's elite. Smooth, seductive, this song exposes Justin's sensual side.
