Overall, this album has the perfect blend of everything, also, it isn't overwheighed with syrupy ballads. A job well done by Mr. Guarini.

I am not joking- I just bought this cd and havent been able to stop playing it!!! Im actually suprised... the way the media spinned this story you would think this was the most horrible cd you have ever heard, but I assure you that it is not. In fact, it is very good...very good, and Im more than happy I gave it a far chance. Justin Guarini's voice is astounding and his delivery absolutely superb! I havent heard a more sensual, soothing voice since Marvin Gaye. My favorite song on the album-"Doin Things (We're Not Supposed To"), check it out to hear a song that will put you right in "the mood". Dont believe the media, it is simply spin brought by his ex management team (the owners of American Idol) who decided to sign him up so as to confine him to their enslavement, smear his name and then let him go. You want to hear an "American Idol"- a truly unique and gifted performer? Then give this cd a shot. This is by far my favorite cd from the AI series, and the best album I have bought in a long time!!! I cant wait for Justin's next endeavour. They may have tried to break him, but someone of his talents cant possibly be down for too long. This cd has convinced me of that.
Give it a listen and see for yourselves. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

First of all I've read some of the negative reviews and i must say those guys are't true critics just haters. I am a very critical reviewer, this cd is hot.... Timeless is FIRE!!! hopefully grammy worthy.Great vocals by both singers. I saw your face is very addictive, will easily do well on radio and video,Sorry is also hot and creative.Be a Heartbreaker is a smooth and cathy urban r&b song.Thinking of you is Great, reminds me of Micheal Jackson even though justin doesn't really try to sound like him. His strength is his performances and heartfelt touch to singing, I prefer soulful ballads,like Maxwell,Marvin,D'Angelo,etc...but Justin is a nice change of pace.Wish he had a more Instrumental slow jam to improvise on like Maxwell's The suite theme. That to me would have killed any Cd release this year.Weakest song Inner Child, yet I can see it being an pop/beach party/commercial song,yet it shows a lot of his personality,and for being true to himself I Can't Hate.Give The Album A good listen,the songs are very contagious and catchy. Too ,many people sound the same today and I'm Glad justin stayed true to himself.Don't Hate... Appreciate a 11 out of 13 great track Cd...Still 5 stars. Justin's self titled debut cd is well worth your money and time. It's a good mix of Latin, Pop and R&B, all of which Justin delivers as if he was recording his 4th and not his 1st album. He sings with as much passion on "Condition of my Heart" as you'll ever hear in a song, and his delivery of Thinking of You, "I saw your face" and "How will I Know" could make one forget the singing of Brian McKnight and R. Kelly. Sadly, Kelly Clarkson sings with power and not feeling in the deut with Justin on the track "Timeless", but Justin saves the song whenever he sings. The other Latin track which opens the cd, "One Heart too Many" is as good as anything you will hear from someone without Hispanic blood running through their body. Tracks like "Sorry", "Inner Child", "If you Wanna" "Be A Heartbreaker" and especially "Doin things Were Not Supposed To" shows that Justin can groove with the best of them. His cover versions of "Unchained Melody" and "Get Here" will not make you forget the orginals but they are as good as you can get being remakes. I have to admit, I did not give Justin Guarini very much credit as a vocalist. The thought of ever buying his cd would have sent me into a fit of giggles just a few weeks ago.A friend of mine kept telling me that she had heard clips of songs from his new cd and that I should at least listen.
Out of curiousity, I did, and my jaw dropped to the floor after hearing a few of his new songs.
This young man is for real. His debut cd is anything but insincere. Whatever your taste, there is a song for you. The only song that I am not crazy about is "Timeless" with Kelly Clarkson contributing to his cd. It's not bad, just not worthy of being on his cd, considering how great the rest of the songs are. "Sorry" is incredible, as is "I Saw Your Face" and "How Will You Know". "Unchained Melody" is beautiful, especially with the added element of soul that Justin gives to this song.
I now own this cd, and I wouldn't have given Mr. Guarini the time of day a few weeks ago, so that just goes to show how much he has matured since being the runner up on a cheesy reality tv show. Do NOT make the mistake of misjudging his talent until you listen to this cd.
