Free Music Notes for FutureSex / LoveSoundsFree Music Review: THE CD of 2006! Hit: 5 Stars
I must say, this CD is a masterpiece! Every song is in a league of it's own as well as original and very melodic. I could see this becoming one of those staple classic CD's that everyone eventually owns. It is THAT good. With some great producers: Timbaland, will.i.am, Rick Rubin etc...who just make pure magic out of every song on this disc! I just want to calrify something up quick: When going to purchase this CD don't be all thrown off by all the Interludes and the Preludes. I got a little nervous thinking they were going to be like 'skits' or 'intros' or when an artist is running out of things..filler! These are NONE of those things. They are simply a continuation of the song in a different beat or tone or a segway into a "mini-song". They are GREAT! It adds a whole other dimension to the song and adds a new spin on the music. Truly a unique thing.
Most of the song on here are of a mid-tempo beat with Justin singing in his well known falsetto. This time around it so much better than the material on 'Justified'. The songs on 'Justified did not make me feel the way the songs on this Sophmore effort do.
Who can escape the Billboard #1 single: "Sexyback" - so catchy and SO infectious. With Timbaland on the sidelines (Which he is on a lot of this CD) it adds that extra something that makes this CD 130 percent. "What Goes Around Comes Around" is somewhat of a "Cry Me A River" Part 2. But, I could not get enough of that song the first time around. Very smooth and aimed at a certain someone?? You make the call! "My Love" F/ T.I is the second single off of this CD and it if great! Justing sings in his true, signature falsetto voice accompanied with a great rap by T.I - these 2 have some great chemistry. I can not get enough of the smooth R&B sound of "Summer Love". Such a HOT song!! Another noteworthy song is one where Three 6 Mafia shine in and that is: "Chop Me Up" - this song has the classic Timbaland beat, JT's signature voice and a tight rap my Three 6! HOT! This set just ooozes hotness throughout it from start to finish! I can see so many hits spawning from this CD.
Those are just some of the highlights but, every single song on here is a standout from todays music. There is not one song included here that I skip over. I was VERY suprised because I never found myself to be such a big fan of Justin until now! I really respect his music a lot! This CD really proves that he has what it takes to make some really amazing R&B/pop music and make it VERY well. Get this CD: now it will be a classic > Mark my words!!!
Free Music Review: Justify My Love Hit: 5 Stars
On the first single from Justin Timberlake's sophomore solo outing, he's claiming to have brought "SexyBack," and I'll be damned if he hasn't. This single (which has been at the top spot on the Billboard charts for a month) isn't even as sexy as it gets on this disc of a dozen sweet`n sweaty songs. Timberlake has tapped into the R&B and hip-hop genre without ever losing sight of his pop sensibilities, thereby creating frenzy for fans of all of the above. There isn't a dud in the bunch of dance songs, even when he slows down the groove on a very rare occasion - most especially for the final track, "(Another Song) All Over Again." The second single, "My Love," has already been delivered to radio, while the first single has shown no sign of slowing down. The entire production was helmed by the latest and greatest of the new millennium, Timbaland, and it is so slick, the budget will easily see a profit within the first week of sales. Word of mouth will keep it alive long after the curiosity factor has waned. With future singles on tap, such as "LoveStoned" and "Damn Girl," it looks like it will be a long fall/winter/spring and summer stay on the charts for Mr. Timberlake. Who would've thought nearly a decade ago, when Justin had a teenage crush on the then-reigning pop princess Britney Spears, that this member of the boy band N*Sync would turn into one of the most interesting and important pop stars of the new century? I didn't, and my earshot is usually better than the neighbor's poodle. It's been said that Timberlake has always been fascinated by Michael Jackson's musical genius, and this album not only hints at that "rumor," it downright concedes it. This CD is to Timberlake what Off The Wall was to Jackson. It firmly establishes the boy singer as a respectable adult entertainer extraordinaire. It's also apparent he's channeling Prince. Shades of the purple man's influence resonate throughout. If Jackson and Prince could've had a child, this is what he would've sounded like. It also assures us that Justin's first solo CD, Justified, was no fluke. Not only has he "justified" his love for making music, he confirms it with one of the best "grown-up" albums in years. FutureSex/LoveSounds most definitely lives up to its title. The heavy beats and synths combined with Timberlake's vocal never sounded or felt so good.
Free Music Review: Timbo & Timber Strikes Again! Hit: 5 Stars
Ok, I usually don't review recent albums, but this album is one I HAD to review because I enjoyed it THAT much. I think the last album I enjoyed like this was Jamie Foxx's Unpredictable (almost two years ago). So, that tells you how many recent albums are worth my precious penny. So yea, I was thoroughly impressed with JT's latest record. I actually liked the last album too, but it wasn't as complete as this one. It was uneven at times. This album is fluent and catchy, mainly because Timberland handles most of the production, instead of a myriad of producers. Not to say that Timberlake isn't a great musician. He is, but we all know the beats rule on MOST good albums. So, I give credit where credit is due. And the credit is paying dividends, with FutureSex selling 4 million copies and SIX radio hits ("Summer Love", "SexyBack", "My Love", "What Goes Around", "Love Stoned", "Until the End of Time").
Now that HALF the album is worth listening to, let's focus on the album tracks. My first recommendation would be the title track. It's a great opener with its heavy bass and dark vocals. JT really shows his mystical side, leading right into the Grammy-nominated "SexyBack". Skipping to "Chop Me Up", JT, Three 6 Mafia and Timberland exchange colorful rhymes. Not the best bars, but with Timberland's distinct style and Three 6's country tongue, this one WILL not go unnoticed. The last great track is a slow one in "Losing My Way". As in Justified, JT shows his softer side for the ladies. He isn't as convincing as Usher, but he is the closest competition to him. Timberland laces a cozy melody, fit just for JT's mellow voice and sing-a-long chorus. An enjoyable listen.
So, how many tracks do you HAVE to play everytime you hear the record? 9! (6 radio hits, 3 album bangers). That only leaves 3 that you MAY skip when you first hear them (I doubt it though). If you haven't heard the album, you must hear it and then get it. It's definitely worth the accolades deserved and price retailed. I thought it would have sold more by now, but the music industry is in a recession so triple-platinum is pretty good. Maybe when the industry rights the ship, it'll do 6-7 million. Highly recommended.

Free Music Review: Amazing 2nd effort by Justin Timberlake Hit: 5 Stars
A lot of the negative reviews are Janet Jackson stans still furious about the Super Bowl fiasco (hold a grudge much?), people trying to compare this album to past N'SYNC albums and Justin's first solo album Justified, or people comparing his sound to Prince or Michael Jackson but there is no comparison. This album is very reminiscent to a time where Prince and MJ were on top of their game, but all in all Justin definitely uses his inspiration from the two legends and makes the sound his own. FutureSex/LoveSounds is a totally different sound from anything you've ever heard from him before and solidifies Justin as a talented solo artist and not just another former teeny bopper boy band member. Fans who truly appreciate Justin's voice will enjoy the fact that he sings falsetto on almost every track. Unlike Justified, there aren't any Neptune produced tracks but after listening to the album, it's evident that they weren't really needed. In my opinion, this is a good thing. The Neptunes have oversaturated the music we hear, almost every song you hear on the radio might very well be a Neptune produced beat, and frankly, this bores me to death. The songs on the album are fun and sexy and it's almost impossible to not get out of your chair and dance. Timbaland and Justin have amazing chemistry which shows on most of the album including the singles "SexyBack" and "My Love". This is one of the few albums that I can actually listen to from beginning to end without skipping tracks, which says a lot. Some of the tracks either end with a prelude or interlude which blend and lead into the following song very nicely. Among my favorites are "My Love", "LoveStoned/I Think She Knows", "What Goes Around/Comes Around", "Until The End of Time", and "Losing My Way". Definitely an album worth your money.

I wanted to update my review and say that this album was released over a year ago and I still listen to it as much as I did when it first debuted. I also got to see him in concert and to hear these songs live with such energy and passion was one of the highlights of my year. If you haven't already, buy this album! You won't regret it.
Free Music Review: Yes, he can sing Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is definitely one of the best of 2006. It's hot for a lot of reasons - the production (excellent), the material (sexy), the technology (the best). But I realize after reading the other reviews that most people will either love it or hate it. So, rather than go through a long, detailed analysis trying to convince the non-believers (like Democrats trying to change Republicans, or vice versa), I want to emphasize specifically one thing: Justin's singing. There are those who say he can't sing, and others who say his voice is buried under the digital vocal effects, but I disagree. Some singers' voices appeal to me, and others don't, and Justin's does. A singer's assets go beyond just the voice; there has to be a unique personality behind the voice. (If not, then every Miss America, Star Search or American Idol contestant with a decent voice would be a multi-platinum star!) So, my point is, if I wasn't hearing HIM on this album, it wouldn't be half as good. I also feel that he has learned more about varying his style and using his voice skillfully. I can hear him expressing things I never heard him express before. And yes, some of it is "sexy"-ness. As for the Michael Jackson comparison, it's true that their voices are similar. But while Michael, especially in falsetto and on ballads, tended to sound fragile and girlish, or childish, whichever you prefer, Justin generally sounds stronger and even a little hoarse in places, which I find appealing. His voice just sounds more standard, not odd at all. I'll bet that in the future, if he so desires, he will continue his career by making albums of very different types of music, and he will be successful.
And just a side note about the mother who protested the explicit lyrics because she didn't want her children to hear them. All entertainment, thank goodness, is not geared toward family consumption. She needs to either let her children hear and see everything (it won't kill them), OR accept the fact that she can't share every experience with her kids. Definitely, all artists should NOT censor their work just because children might possibly see or hear it.
