Free Music Review: i have to admit it's grown on me
Hit: 5 Stars

When I first bought this album, I thought, well there are a couple of great singles here (Sexyback!) but the album as a whole doesn't compare to his first (Justified). I'm a huge fan of the Neptunes, and missed their influence on this album's sound.

But after a few weeks, I have to admit the album has really grown on me. Timbaland's producing style, while totally different from the Neptunes, does result in some really catchy tunes that I can't quite get out of my head. It's nice to see Justin continuing to take chances with his music, and not get pigeonholed into any one sound (there's no trace of the "Michael Jackson sound-alike" on this album). With this album, he's clearly gained confidence, maturity, and -- I didn't think it was possible -- more sex appeal.

A definite recommend, but prepare to listen to it a few times before you really love it.

Free Music Review: What a Surprise
Hit: 5 Stars

In the world of Fad driven music like pop, R&B and Hip Hop, where you are hot one day and the next you are corny even though you have not changed your style at all comes a jewel of an album. This is a album where an adult can get enjoyment out of this as well as children. Get the edited disc for the children. Justin joined a lot of so called labeled R&B styles like old skool, Neo-soul, pop and urban and came up with an album that is very entertaining. In a time where kid R&B songs rule the chart he has come out on top. If you are a true fan of R&B, you will enjoy this album. If not you will at least appreciate this album for the creativity and what he is offering. An album with ACTUAL MUSIC behind the lyrics instead of just weird sounds. Even if it's just a loop of music it's still music where you can ID the instruments. This is coming from a R&B fan who thinks today's R&B is lacking in several areas..... one is TALENT. Good job Justin. Maxwell hurry up.

Free Music Review: More Original Than You're Giving Him Credit For
Hit: 5 Stars

Overall, I'd say the album is more of a 4.5 than 5 star affair, but I figured with all the unfair one stars that mar this work, the most decent thing I can do is try to balance it back out. Timberlake is an assured vocalist, Timbaland was at the top of his game for this album, and both guys want you to party big time. There is all this talk about 'obvious influences,' some saying Michael Jackson and others saying Prince. But let me tell you.. both of THOSE men had obvious influences too, while still becoming their own personality. Which is exactly what Justin has done here, fully crafted his suave, roguish personality, and made a face for these thrilling tunes. Anytime I want to get a pick me up and feel 'cool' without hearing all the rape and blood included in gangsta rap, this is the cd I turn to. Because while Prince is fun and a master musician when he was on his A-game.. in the end.. he's just a freak.. not a stand up guy like Justin happens to be.

Free Music Review: Absolutely Fanstastic!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Can't say enough about this album. I like all but two songs on this CD. It is definitely a classic. I was not a fan of Justified. I figure, if you are going to pay money for a CD then at least most of the songs should be gems. That was not the case with Justified (and it's a good thing I didn't spend my dough on it). I bought FutureSex/LoveSound because of the song "My Love". I think that is an amazing song, and I just assumed it would be the best track on the CD. I WAS WRONG. I am absolutely addicted to "Lovestoned" and it is JT at his best. Amazing track. "Chop Me Up" is also great ("Got me cryin' rivers like Timbaland and Timberlake"). It would be easier to tell you what songs I am not into than the ones that I do like. Track #2 and the last song on the CD aren't my favorites, but I adore everything else on the CD. This CD is not a waste of money. In fact, it just solidies the fact that the Timbaland/Timberlake combo is a homerun.

Free Music Review: Justin Time
Hit: 5 Stars

Just when we needed something great to dance to: here comes Justin Timberlake, who I can't believe was part of the bubblegum NSync crew, to whip it up real good.

Here's my favorites list:
SexyBack (didn't even believe it was him when I first heard it)
Chop Me Up (oh, this is DA JAM ... "please don't make a fool of me"!!!)
Future Sex/Love Sound
My Love (a real banger! "see, all I want him to do is be...")
What Goes Around (the beat ... the beat ... it's pure intoxication)
Love Stoned (ohmygod)
Sexy Ladies (whew ... can we take any more of the beat)
Damn Girl
Losing My Way
(and trying to get all the ringtones I can get from this effort)

Can do without Summer Love, Until the End of Time, All Over Again ... but they round the album out nicely. The first album was real good, but THIS ... superb.

Don't buy it and you are certified crazy!
